  2. What lovely greens to be picking for tea. In all your photos and your words, you seem to have completely mastered the art of slower paced days. Is it an all the time mastery or do you ever feel like you're rushing around madly?

    1. They were delicious.

I wouldn't say mastered, but that we are a work in progress, always trying to simplify and slow down a little more. Some people have FOMO (fear of missing out), I have a fear of being too busy. I really dislike the pace of today's society, in so many ways, and have been working for a long time to slow it down for us. We have pretty much found our groove with it, and are never afraid to say no if life starts to get busy.

I read a quote just a few weeks ago that really stuck with me..."stop the glorification of busy". It seems our world thinks we need to be busy and running from one thing to another, I completely disagree. I think we need time to just be, to sit and breathe, to soak in this life we are gifted. I don't want it to get to the of my life and feel sadness that it all went too fast. I want to look back and see a life lived slowly, and simply, with intention and love and full of experiences I enjoyed and people I loved.

  4. Strawberry picking? I think I see the leaves. Knitting outside sounds relaxing, and a yummy dinner with fresh greens to boot. A lovely day (and Happy Canada Day to you).

    1. Yup, wild strawberries, they are so sweet this year. It is, I only got a few rows in, but those few moments with a cup of tea were good enough for me. Thank you. xo

    1. They were amazing to eat as well :) That is too bad, we have had a bumper crop of wild strawberries this year, and from the looks of the wild raspberry bushes everywhere we hike, it is going to be a great year for those too.

Happy Canada Day my friend, and thanks for playing along. xo

  12. I love this post. What a nice day you have had. Happy Canada Day to you. I am not Canadian, but I have several Canadian friends and I must say, that as an American, I am most impressed with the way Canadians do things. I wish we would "copy" Canada much more here in the states. You seem to have it all together.
