What are you grateful for today?
I'm grateful for sunny days, shorts and birkenstocks, line dried washing, home-grown strawberries and peas that don't get as far as the kitchen. Walks in the woods and paddling in streams with family and friends...and as my little girl is off school with a virus, I asked our children what they were grateful for...
ReplyDeleteM (age 7) I'm grateful that I'm not really really really ill. And I've got a mummy and daddy who love me.
Ro (age 4) I am really gladful I haven't got M's bug.
Have a lovely day. Nx
A lovely list, and I loved that you shared your children's gratitude :)
DeleteBeautiful, Kim!
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for having a lovely place to go home to, and for the comforts of the place we are making our home now. I need to be reminded of the latter, sometimes, so thank you. :) xo
Thanks Meg! My pleasure, I am so happy you had a good time at home, and that you are finding the best in your new home. xo
DeleteI am grateful for: blue skies, walks with Frodo, apartment hunting over, writing different lists for two impending moves for my kids, simple dinners, quiet evenings, chatting with my sister and my aunt.
ReplyDeleteNow that is an awesome list!
Deleteall such wonderful things-- and thanks for the reminder of how many things we all have to be grateful for! Today I am grateful for friends, near and far!
ReplyDeleteWe all need a reminder sometimes :) I too am grateful for that. xo
DeleteWhat a beautiful list...
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful today for the opportunity to teach my kids. Although it is often hard and sometimes frustrating, to have the chance to share with them my values and my knowledge is a great gift!
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you Yanic! A true gift.
DeleteI am grateful for every opportunity I am given to try again each day.
ReplyDeleteYes, we all have that opportunity and it is wonderful to know a new day awaits us each morning.
DeleteI am grateful for friendships near and far. For really delicious homemade bread. The cool weather we are having due to monsoon season and that my girls are playing happily together these days more often than not.
ReplyDeleteSo the bread was good, eh? It certainly looked delicious. That is so wonderful to hear about your girls, I am sure it brings much peace and pleasure to your days my friend. xo

ReplyDelete" ~ for the confidence to be who I am " , that line really struck out at me. I spent so many years apologizing for how I lived my live since others thought it was fun to call me Miss Suzy Homemaker like it was a bad thing. I have never desired to have a career and have always enjoyed being home, raising my family. Finally I 'grew' into my own skin and hold my head high when I tell how I spend my life, I'm confident too.
Enjoy a beautiful weekend Kim.
That is beautiful Tracey. I am so happy you have grown into who you are, and are not afraid to share it. We are all different, and walk our own paths, and we should never apologize for that.
DeleteWishing you the most wonderful weekend my friend. xo
A lovely list. I'm grateful for sunshine and water and enjoying them with my children, especially with Summer holidays coming up soon.
ReplyDeleteSummer holidays....bet you can't wait for that. I am sure you guys will have a great time!
DeleteBeautiful! Especially the columbine. I've not seen one those colors before. I love this post. We have so much to be grateful for when we stop to think of it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Robin. You are right, we do have so much to be grateful for. I love this quote..."Gratitude is the open door to abundance". I have found it to be very true.
DeleteSuch a beautiful list of gratitude Kim. I'm grateful for reminders that pull me back on to the path l want to be travelling. Got to say your blog does that when l visit. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Chrisy.
DeleteOh yes, we all need those reminders. And wow, thank you, that is so kind of you to say. xo
I love the pictures and the simple list of wonderful things you are thankful for. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim what a wonderful way to spend the day- it all looks so lovely and peaceful. It's truly amazing all the little and big things we have to be grateful for. I am simply grateful that it is summer.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun weekend.
xo
Thank you my friend. It is amazing, all we have to do is open our eyes and there is so much to be grateful for, even on the toughest days. xo
DeleteI had to do a double take on that first picture. It looks just like the bridge by my house. Beautifully written, today I am grateful for the internet, to be able to connect with like minded people, and for nap times that allow me to do so ;)
ReplyDeleteReally, how cool is that! Oh yes, with you on that one. The internet has connected me with some many wonderful like minded people I never would have met otherwise. xo
DeleteAll fantastic things. So lucky aren't we to have things like this.
ReplyDeleteVery lucky indeed, and so very blessed. xo
DeleteBeautiful list Kim! Gratitude is such a positive thing to cultivate. I am grateful for you and your light! :)
ReplyDeleteMuch love!
Thanks you Tiffany. A quote I always hold close is "gratitude is the open door to abundance". I hold it close because it is so very true. Each night when I share my gratitude from the day with my gratitude buddy I am filled with so much joy at how much I have in my life to be grateful for. It is a beautiful practice to express our gratitude, and definitely fills my heat and soul to the brim. xo
