Connection

A little time spent connecting to nature, and each other, at one of our favourite spots this weekend. We walked, talked, climbed trees, feed the chipmunks and chickadees, watched wild turkeys saunter around in the woods, got up close to see a mama duck and her ducklings, and enjoyed a picnic.  A lovely way to spend a few hours on a Saturday morning.

How was your weekend?

  2. That all looks beautiful, I especially love how close you can get to the wildlife there. Wonderful way to spend a few hours. We had a lovely weekend too - including going fruit picking at last. Sadly none of our strawberries made it to jam! One of the downsides of having 4 children I think! But I did get some jam made from loganberries in the garden.

    1. I can't imagine life without chipmunks, although without them my sunflowers might actually grow more than 1cm :)

  4. Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Saturday- doing the things that you love. What beautiful nature you are surrounded in. We swam in Lake McDonald ( or should I say dipped) it was so cold and did yard work.

  11. Mama duck and ducklings! So sweet! When we went to Austria a couple of weeks ago there was lake just a short walk from our holiday home. There were several mama ducks with their ducklings there, and we visited them almost every day.

  12. A lovely weekend. I love the tree climbing photos. He looks so much like you from the few pictures I've seen. We spent the weekend tackling a nightmare craft closet and making curtains. 5 years after moving in, it's time for curtains ;)
