{This Moment}

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by Soulemama.

    1. We were boiling down the first bit of sap from our trees. They just started running this week, which is really late in the season. We couldn't wait any longer so decided to boil down just the little bit we have gathered so far. More is running so we will be boiling again early next week.

  2. Is that maple sap???? If that is, wonderful! If not, what experiment was he doing? Because I'm sure it was as equally wonderful! :-)

    If you feel like stopping by : Ours is a moment to savor this week for sure... Where did the time go?

    1. You bet it is! The first boil. We usually wait til we have a lot more sap, but it has been so slow this year and we just wanted to get to it, so we did :)

    1. It is so good, and so very sweet. We only top three trees. We could do more but they require a bit more of a walk from the house. Maybe next year?

  6. Fun! One of these years I am going to have to try that.... But we don't have an amazing wood stove like that. Sigh... One day. Enjoy your sweetness.. Oh, and the syrup to ;) Be well.

    1. It is so much fun, and we love doing it. That wood stove is something we found at the end of someone's driveway, they were throwing it out. We stopped to ask about it and brought it home. It is in our little cottage in the backyard, we refer to it as the "sugar shack" this time of year :)

    1. It is fun! That is just the first bit, as it boils down we keep adding more sap. Lots more running today and the weekend should be perfect for more to run as well. We definitely won't get as much as last year, but that is okay, it is all about the process and the journey.
