Make and Listen
Making:
~ a lovely owl to be gifted to a special little one for Christmas
~ a new birthday crown for my little man, his old one was just too small
~ new toys are in the toy shop...gnome size furniture
~ our nature treasures ready to be shipped off, thanks to Mud Puddles to Meteors for hosting the nature exchange
Listening:
~ a little Michael Buble, a bit of Sarah McLachlan and some Diana Krall have been playing around here
~ we are enjoying the sounds of the winter birds returning to our part of the world...black capped chickadees, red breasted nuthatches, and blue jays, oh the blue jays
What have you been making and listening to this week?

Oh, what wonderful making.
ReplyDeleteThat owl is adorable, the crown turned out bright and colorful, so great!
I am in love with the little furniture. Wishing my kiddos were still young enough to play with it! :-)
The nature box looks filled with wonderful treasures and tucked in such bright tissue paper.
We have been loving the new birds arriving back. Stellars jays and western scrub jays have both been at our feeder. They are so pretty and have such a distinct call.
Thanks for joining in again this week!
Thanks Dawn! We are really looking forward to the nature exchange and can't wait to receive our package :)
DeleteSuch a productive week, Kim!! I love your making. We need to get going with packaging up our nature goodies. My schooled kid wants to join in, so it may wait until the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe've been hearing the white-throated sparrows again--we have chickadees, nuthatches, & jays all year round, but I only really hear the white-throated sparrows when it cools down. Such a unique song.
Thanks Amy! Have fun with the nature package, we sure did!
DeleteI adore the gnome sized furniture!!! So tiny :)
ReplyDeletethat table and chair set is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteReally have to make some of those crowns one of these days. It's such a sweet idea.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are fun to make and now that Reece is older he actually remembers wearing it from year to year, which is super cool.
DeleteI need the gnome furniture for me! The child in me wants to play with them! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, the child in me has been playing with them :)
DeleteI love the owl! My boys saw it and now want me to make them each one - I'm still working on their fingerless gloves from my last 'Make and Listen' post.
ReplyDeleteWe are excited about the nature exchange as well and still have to get it all sorted and out the door!
Thanks, it is super easy to knit up.
DeleteI love the owl Kim, but that little furniture is my favorite, just too cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracey, I am loving the little furniture too :)
