Our Weekend

The weekend got started on Friday morning with some time in nature, some fun in the leaves and some good old play time. It was a great day spent at home not doing much of anything, but enjoying our time together.

I spent Saturday morning, alone, shopping for some new jeans. If you don't know this about me, I dislike shopping, really dislike shopping. I hit one store and came out with not one, but two pairs of jeans. I was just a tad bit happy about that. After running a few more errands, I headed home to my two men. We spent the afternoon baking, sewing, woodworking and crafting. Such a good way to spend the afternoon. Dinner was enjoyed with friends at a local restaurant.

We woke to a very dark, rainy Sunday morning. Hot tea, the fire, crafting, reading, playing and hanging out filled our day before we headed out to my in laws for dinner.

Home at the end of the day, we settled in for a quiet night, me with knitting needles in hand and Justin drawing some new designs.

How was your weekend?

  1. Sounds like a lovely weekend! I should take your good example and go shopping for jeans too...really need a new pair (or two) but I dislike it as much as you..:(

  2. Perfect fall pictures!

I don't like shopping either, and do most of it online now! Although there are some things that just need to be tried on - jeans being one of them!

Our weekend was fun. A long walk collecting leaves (more leaves!), acorns, and berries; a trip to the farm to pick up our most recent meat order and pumpkins, and time with friends.

    Have a beautiful week.

  3. Look at those leaves! Beautiful.

I also dislike shopping. I have stopped in the thrift store a few times in the last month or so, intending to get some things for my in-between body size to wear. (All the clothes I love are still two sizes too small, but all my bigger clothes are too big now.) I keep walking out with nothing. I really do need to do something about that; I can't exactly go out wearing nothing, can I? :) xo

    1. There are a ton of them. I find I don't have luck at thrift stores with jeans, skirts yes, but never jeans. And no, you can't go around wearing nothing, well...I guess you could at some places :)

  5. I have a certain store that I buy jeans, if they ever change....well there would be a crisis. Love the leaves, we do not rake them, my husband just mows and blows them to the edge.

  10. What a leaf pile! I'm glad you were able to find your jeans quickly. Shopping is definitely not the most fun way to spend time.
