Sounds lovely! If you are looking for something to do nxt weekend the town of Ajax is putting on PUMPKINVILLE at Greenwood Conservation area nxt Sat 11-5pm. It's free & they will have carving contests, haunted house, petting zoo, etc. If you have time stop in! We plan on taking Bean.
ReplyDeleteIt was. And that sounds amazing, we might have to stop by, Reece would love it. Fingers crossed for a nice day.
DeleteSounds like a relaxing pace to the weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe try to keep all our weekends at this pace :)
DeleteGreat weekend! love chili and it does taste better when it's cold outside. We just got back from a weekend getaway and I need a lazy weekend to recover.
ReplyDeleteIt was Karen, and you bet on the chili so much better when it is cold outside. Your weekend sounds like it was lovely.
DeleteMy husband made the first batch of chili on Saturday too. I wanted to make some home made bread but just didn't get around to it. There's always next weekend!
ReplyDeleteHope it was delish!
DeleteDon't you love that first pot of chilli or stew? I don't think any of the later ones compare. Not quite fire weather here yet, but soon.
ReplyDeleteI do! And you are so right, the rest just don't compare.
DeleteBeautiful weekend! Do the leaves really turn color like that? Are there really giant leaves that in the world? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks KC, it really was. And yes they do turn colour just like that, and there are giant leaves like that here. You will so many wonderful nature surprises when you move, so excited for you :)
DeleteSounds lovely. Have a good week! :)
ReplyDeleteYou too Tiffany!
Deletechili! we love our chili and take it quite seriously here. can't wait until it's cool enough to make a batch!
ReplyDeleteIt is a fall/winter favourite around here. Sending cooler temps your way :)
DeleteI really am envious of your chili, bread baking and sitting by the fire to knit weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs I am sitting here my air conditioner just cut on,again! I am so ready for cooler temps.
How do you prepare your chili? I love to try new recipes.
I wish I could send the cooler temps down to you Tracey. I can say for sure that my parents who are in Myrtle Beach right now are quite enjoying the warmer temperatures :)
DeleteHere's my go to chili recipe, been using it for years http://yourgreenbaby.ca/?p=149 I actually throw everything in the crock pot and let it simmer all day, I find it tastes so much better that way. Enjoy!
So much goodness!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend!
