A Family Walk in the Woods

It has been six long weeks since Justin had knee surgery and I think the one thing I have missed the most is our time in nature together as a family. Although Reece and I spend a lot of our days in nature, Justin will often join us on the weekends for a family adventure in the woods. Sunday morning we woke up to sunshine and warm temperatures and I felt it was time Justin try out his knee on a little hike. I had been up to the conservation area by our home on Saturday for a trail run, so I knew how amazing the trail was right now with it's colours of red and gold. So after lunch on Sunday we hit the trails for a little family time in the woods. It was exactly what we all needed and although Justin was not totally up to it when we started, he thanked me half way through for getting him out. Sometimes I know just what we all need.

  6. Hey Kim, I noticed your carrier. I am currently looking for a good carrier as we had some passed down to us but they are too small for my son now who is 11 months. My sister is also going to be having a baby in April so she is looking for a good carrier as she lives in Toronto and will be walking a lot with one. Do you like the carrier you are carrying Reece in? What are some positives? Perhaps any negatives?

Thanks for sharing, your pictures look wonderful!

    1. Hi there, I love my Boba, one of the best things I ever bought. It is good for newborn, if you get the insert, right through to toddlerhood. Reece is 33lbs right now and we are both very comfortable wearing it. It is good up to 45lbs, not sure I will be able to carry him then though :)

I do know they have upgraded the Boba since I purchased this one with some pretty awesome features.

It is easy to wear, easy to use, comfortable, good for you and your partner even if you are different sizes and I love that it is organic and made in the USA.

Hope that helps, I highly recommend the Boba.

  9. How lovely to have such beautiful woodland trails at your doorstep! I hope Justin's knee is much better soon - family nature walks are truly special. Thanks for sharing the info on your sling/carrier - I was going to ask about it too. Right now, we have an Ergo organic, which was gifted to us, and we love it too.

    1. We are very lucky and I am grateful every day to have so many wonderful places to hike close to home. From what I researched the Ergo and Boba are very similar.
