Waldorf playgroup began our day on Saturday, and then I took my little man out for a lunch date. A little stop to pick up some stationary and then home for the rest of the day. There was reading, knitting, writing and a long soak in the tub.
I quietly left the house Sunday morning after breakfast and found a little corner in the coffee shop to hide away in. There was writing, reading and a little people watching. Back at home Justin and Reece were busy flying paper airplanes and drawing. The afternoon was filled with more paper airplanes, puzzles, a little catching up and just hanging out. The perfect way to end a pretty perfect weekend.
How was your weekend?
Joining Amanda
sounds like a lovely peaceful weekend. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and especially the last one! Love capturing kids in nature.
ReplyDeleteIt really is wonderful and always makes me stop to watch :)
DeleteWonderful that you found some creative space for yourself too- I think that is so important for busy mamas- beautiful images today Kim.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week ahead.
Yes, I think weekends begin on Friday, at least they always do here.
ReplyDeleteI went hiking too, it was wonderful. There really is something about being in nature that is good for the soul.
Have a beautiful start to the week.
So very good for the soul Tracey, I agree. And I am glad we aren't the only ones who start weekends on Friday :)
DeleteSuch pretty pictures! Our snow is all gone and we had lots of rain. But today is supposed to be warmer and we shall finally see some sun. And yes, weekends always begin on Friday! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Our snow has slowly been disappearing too, it was raining a little yesterday and then today was much warmer, more rain coming this evening. Hope you have a lovely week.
DeleteSo wonderfully slow! Your response to my joy of cold weather made me chuckle. Indeed -40F is colder than 37F :)
ReplyDeleteThat is great to hear KC! Haha, yes, much colder, but it was -40C...I'm Canadian, eh :)
Deletebeautiful photos and a winter's day. We are flooded with sunshine and melted everything. I am home again after a visit to my sister's and I'm in the midst of nesting (not!! pregnant).
ReplyDeleteCan you send some of that sun our way, it has been hiding from us, and I really need some. I am glad you had a good weekend with your sister and I saw some of your nesting work...nicely done :)
Deletethe snow looks amazing! Rain is just not quite as much fun.....
ReplyDeleteSo very true!
DeleteJust wondering if my comment went through from before? I love how slow your weekend went! Just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt did KC! And I thought you were talking about your weekend being wonderfully slow, but yes, mine was too :) I really like weekends, and really, all days to be like that. Slow is good for me and our little family. And it feels so right in this world that is moving much too fast for me. Have a lovely evening my friend xo
DeleteIt really does sound totally lovely. I love your snowy, solitary walk in the woods. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt was!
DeleteWhat a blessed weekend you had Kim :0) This weekend, we took our oldest back to university...a very busy two days.

DeleteSounds lovely! Mine was quite hectic with a trip to Pennsylvania, and a sick goat at the beginning of it! It was an extraordinary visit to see my son at college though. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Margot, it was. So sorry about your goat, hugs xo
DeleteIt all sounds really lovely and filled with all different kinds of play!
