Our Weekend
A slow, easy weekend, not doing too much of anything. There was time to write, craft and play outside. There was fun in the woods with friends, playing games and tracking, then back inside for a community potluck. There was tea with a friend and a little knitting while my little man spent some time with my mom and dad. There were easy meals, candles glowing as the sun set behind the trees, time in front of the fire snuggling and laughing, and early nights tucked in bed keeping warm beneath quilts and extra blankets.
It was a good weekend, a really good weekend.
How was your weekend?

Our weekend was fun and fast, busy and noisy with the house full. It's raining now and I have my fingers crossed that we get some snow again.
ReplyDeleteI will send some snow your way, we have quite enough :)
DeleteSounds like a fun and relaxing weekend- hope your week is equally as good.
ReplyDeleteNice weekend :-) I think most of us had a relaxing sort of weekend - it was too cold for us to want to do much else but stay inside. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to that :)
Deletelook at all of that beautiful snow! definitely a good reason to stay in and cozy up :)
ReplyDeleteSounds absolutely blissful!
ReplyDeleteIt was!
DeleteSounds lovely, and similar to mine, although I also ventured off for a few hours to a quilting class in an amazing location with interesting people, very inspiring! Hope your week is as great as your weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh your quilting class sounds just lovely.
DeleteA simple but wonderful post :)
ReplyDeleteHow was our weekend? a lot warmer than yours !!
ReplyDeleteHave a look at all that snow. Amazing.
Last weekend was a scorcher, reaching 40 degrees in some parts of the North Coast. Thankfully we were at the beach, were it was much cooler and the water so very refreshing.
Yes, I bet it was. The snow is amazing, and we are enjoying it, the colder temperatures though (-41 with the windchill) are a bit too much. We were lucky to have a little break on the weekend, but are now headed back into a deep freeze.
DeleteA lovely walk in the woods. We are having VERY cold weather here and I am not sure if this what you all endure in Canada but I have a new respect for everyone who lives in a colder climate than mine. Living in the southern US has made me wimpy. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI think we are all experiencing the cold you are taking about. It hasn't been this cold in years, and while we are Canadian, it is a bit too cold for us too. Stay warm.
DeleteI love seeing your snow...wish you could send a little my way.
ReplyDeleteYou can come visit Tracey :)
DeleteSounds like a good one to me! Ours was slow and snowy! And a new nephew was born, my brothers second child and son. I am losing my mind a bit as the amount of snow has kept us from a visit, but we are supposed to get a break in things soon...here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Hope you get a visit in soon. New baby snuggles are the best.
DeleteSounds wonderful, Kim. And quite productive, too, I'd say!
ReplyDeleteYes it was :)
Deletei love your weekend and snow! want to trade some sand for snow?! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes please, you can have all the snow!
DeleteI love this shot! All the snow we have gotten across central and eastern Canada has been great for snow sports and play ( not so much for driving and working!). Our storm day was a welcoming excuse to lay low and cuddle, finally watch The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - all that snow! - and play some games. The next day we were eager to get outside and visit our favourite trails before the rain washed it all away!
ReplyDeleteIt has been awesome, it is the colder temperatures that have not been so much fun. We are in for a warm up this weekend though and really looking forward to it.
