  2. That is just so sweet... I'm guess you just slightly melt the string into the star or does it just stick? Can you reuse the wax after? Thank you for sharing. :-)

    1. Thanks Yanic. I used another candle and let a few drops of wax fall on the back of the star and then held the twine there while it cooled. Holds it perfectly.

I guess you could, for candles, I don't think I would use it in product. We will keep our bunting to use again next year :)

  4. So pretty... We have recently moved, so this project is an inspiring reason to attack those crafting boxes in the attic to find the beeswax - this would be a great gift for grandparents. Thanks for sharing.

I am trying a new blog format - wanting to try wordpress for a while as well as wanting to go a different direction with my blog reflecting a recent decision our family has made to homeschool next year. Do you use wordpress? If so, any advice on using it? I just did a simple template and need to start customizing it, but wanted to get some posts up in the meantime.

    1. Thanks. I was thinking it would make a great gift too. We actually used a few to string as tree ornaments and gifted them with some cookies to Reece's Godparents on Tuesday :)

I will check out your new blog later today. I don't use Wordpress, sorry I don't have any advice for you.

    1. Thank you, I think you and your littles would have fun with this. I used another candle to drip hot wax on the back of the stars and then held the twine there while the wax cooled. Holds it perfectly.

  13. THANK YOU Kim! The stars look gorgeous! This is one project I would love to do. I love how they hang in your kitchen window. They would smell beautiful. I love the smell of beeswax. I'm sitting here beside a beeswax candle at the moment.

I also love the little shelf you've made and the timber.

Thanks so much for sharing! Hope you've had a lovely day so far. It is 5:40 am Friday here and the sun is just lighting the sky up a little bit. Lots of love to you Kim, Justin and Reece. xxxooo

    1. You are most welcome my friend. Happy to be able to share it with you.

That shelf is something I saw online and knew I had to have one. I showed it to Justin and the next day it was hanging in our window. It serves as my nature shelf, a place to collect all of my nature treasures :)

We had the most wonderful day, thank you. I hope you are enjoying your day, and that the sun continues to shine. Sending you lots of love Julie. xo

  15. I remember making rolled candles and all sorts of fun stuff with sheets of beeswax when I was a kid. I must say though, I wish I had thought of this garland of stars. It's darling! Love reading of your goings-on these days...
