  1. What beautiful peeks... what bird lost those gorgeous feathers? Owl? We found snowy owl feathers when we went to the Zoo in September. They have been preciously put away as the ultimate souvenir. We are giving Nevaeh her first embroidery hoop and materials for Xmas this year, can't wait to see what her little hand swill make of it all. Such a beautiful warm glow. What kind of tree do you guys dress up?

Wising you a week filled with warm cozy days xo

    1. Thanks Yanic. Those are ruffed grouse feathers. Definitely a kill site we found, the wings were there and a few other bits. We also found a lot of bunny fur on our walk yesterday morning. Lots happening in the forest these days.

She will love it. Reece sat for an hour working on this piece yesterday. It was so lovely to watch him.

That would be a spruce tree, from our neighbours down the road.

  2. Such pretty pictures! I am getting anxious to get out tree & lights up. I always say we'll wait until after Ree's birthday (the 4th) but we both are ready now! I may see what she thinks about getting the tree up now and waiting for the weekend to decorate it :-)
I joined in today! (My first in two months. I really love doing this with you!)

    1. Thanks Jen! I can totally understand that. I used to start to bring out a few decorations at the beginning of November before Reece, but now we wait til after his birthday in early November. It just seems right that way.

Have fun with the birthday celebrations and tree decorating. And thanks for playing along, so nice to see you back in your space. xo

    2. I asked her if we should put the tree up now and she said we should wait until after her birthday. I understand! (But was secretly a bit disappointed not to have the twinkle lights out yet!) It is nice to be back in my space and visiting everyone again!

  4. I smiled as soon as I saw the feathers, I pick them up too! I have often thought our days parallel each other and these photos just cement that thought a little more.
    Enjoy a beautiful Tuesday Kim.

    1. I am loving the twinkle too, so cozy and warm.

You would love them Chrisy. We don't often see them, but we hear them all the time. They have the most beautiful drumming sound that echos through the woods. Amazing!

We are well, thank you, and hope you and your family are too! xo

    1. It certainly is. We did a little embroidery on Monday, he sat for an hour working on it...a tree with a star on top.
