His Happy Mail Day

I am continually reminded, almost daily, about the wonderful community I have found through this space. A community of people who inspire me, make me think, challenge me in my views, offer advice, and share their life with me...people who I am happy to call friends. I have been lucky over the years to meet three of you in person, I have chatted with some of you over the phone, there has been little packages, notes, postcards, and letters exchanged and of course, we check in with each other through our blogs.

When Reece celebrated his birthday last month, this lovely lady, and friend, asked if she and her family could send him a little package. Of course I said yes. Last week the package arrived, and I was blown away at the generosity, kindness, and love within this package. So much goodness, not only for Reece, but for our whole family. Thank you Sandra, you have touched our hearts this holiday season.

As soon as we had finished opening the package, and had carefully touched and smelled everything, we sat with a smile, grateful for wonderful friends around the world. And then, we started planning a return package...

  2. Beautiful gifts Reece and Kim. Yes, this community is amazing isn't it?

PS- I don't think I was clear on my last comment, I just meant that you are living your days the same way I did with my children, I just did it about 20 [30?] years ago. :) A great way to live.

    1. I am amazed every day Tracey, at the wonderful people I have "met" through this space. So grateful.

I see :) That is very comforting to me Tracey, knowing that you have walked this path before me, lived your days in a similar way. I look at your days now, and your relationships with your children and it is my hope that in the years to come my life will be pretty similar to where you are now.

  14. Indeed, quite the collection of treasures. I think what is so wonderful about it is seeing a way in which technology, something that so often breaks down real human connection, has fostered it. Very inspiring.
