Aww, the gifts from Karen are so sweet! I have to say I am in love with your Advent spiral. Since I "dabble" in woodworking, I might try and attempt making one for next year. Yours is just lovely!
I love your Advent candles. Playing out in the snow is a favorite around here too. Hopefully we'll get to more soon but I think it's supposed to rain today. http://momentsofpeacemama.wordpress.com/2014/12/16/morning-noon-night-20/
Thank you. Yes, in what little snow we have left, sadly it is melting rapidly with the rain that is coming down today. Fingers crossed for a little more of the white stuff soon.
They come in with as much gusto as they go out, and the energy and the excitement of it all makes the clothes tossed on the floor so worth it. I am sure one day I will miss these days too. xo
If you put a coat rack up in your entrance way you could have a coat rack in the back ground with boots and hats on the floor. I know. I have that in my house ;) hehehe Still, it is a sweet sight and does not last long. A beautiful afternoon gift, and while I said it before, I LOVE your advent spiral. Did you make it or buy it? I would love to incorporate that into our advent tradition next year. We read a chapter out of "The Yule Tomte and the little Rabbits" by Ulf Stark, each night. Great book! There are 25 short chapters. We could light the candle when we sit down to read and then snuff them when we are done before hopping into bed. Have a blessed day.
Haha!! Actually there are hooks, but the kids can't reach them. I have asked Justin to put some kid friendly hooks up so they can hang up their stuff, still waiting for it to happen :)
Thank you. Justin made it. If you are interested in one let me know, I am sure he would make one up for you, and we can arrange to do a little swap or something :)
Love that first picture. In the last two weeks we've seen much colder weather here. Making jackets part of our doorway scene! Though snow boots not so much.
