~ Inspired by these, I whipped up a few note cards with some scrap fabric.
~ A finished milo and one on the needles...two friends are expecting, one in June the other in July. Little ones will be wearing these in the fall.
~ A lovely hostess gift...a fabric covered jar filled with lilacs.
Listening:
~ The birds are filling the air around here. We awake to their wonderful songs in the morning, listen to them as we garden and play in the yard and every once in a while we hear the sweet chatter of babies from the nests around our home.
~ The rain falling gently on our tin roof.
~ The distant howl of coyotes just before we go to bed.
What have you been making and listening to this week?
Joining Dawn
Love the greeting cards! I need a sewing machine Dawn. It's killing me not having any materials to craft with. I want to join in on this make and listen but I haven't made anything!
ReplyDeleteShould I buy a cheap machine now that I wouldn't mind leaving behind if we have to more back to the states or wait several months and then invest in a serious machine like I have back home? The summer is coming up so soon the girls need summer play dresses with pockets. I've even convinced S about play smocks for collecting things and getting dirty.
Can you find some pillow cases to make into simple pillow case dresses? They would be pretty easy to hand stitch. And you could add some patch pockets.
DeleteMy vote would be to go back to sewing roots with simple needle and thread at this point! :-) You might find it quite meditative.
Thanks KC! I agree with Dawn, simple pillow case dresses would be great for them and would allow you to get in some crafting to feed your soul :)
Deleteoh, i love these~
