44/52

"A photo of my little man, once a week, every week, in 2014"

Reece, that hair! You have made the decision to grow it, and I have to admit I am liking the tousled look of it. You were running free and wild in the woods on this day, with your friends. It makes me so happy to see you enjoying time in nature with other little ones.

    1. I think I have convinced him to go for a trim, and a little bit of thinning, it is so thick :) Thank you.

  3. My husband walked behind me as I opened this picture and told me he wants to participate in the project next year. It seems ever time I see a picture of Reece, weeks have gone by. Kim, he is growing SO FAST! I love the free flow hair. We are growing Boen's out as well, he will be curly like his sister.

Such a handsome young little man. xox

    1. I highly recommend it, it's a great little project.

He is growing up, and yes, it seems to be flying by. Doing my best to soak it all up. Thanks, he likes it, and it is slowly growing on me :)

      Thank you. xo

  4. long hair or short, that is one handsome little man you are raising up. We're having a hard time discussing trimming Panda's hair right now.

  5. I love it when the children have their own opinions on their appearance. I remember Sam was a little older than Reece when he decided he wanted his hair long. There have been several times since when I've wished he wanted it short! But generally I love the individuality of it! And it certainly seems to suit Reece.

    1. I do too, and it is his hair. I was surprised he had such a strong desire to grow it, but he does, so we will go with it. I have convinced him to get the front trimmed a bit, and maybe the crown thinned, as it is very thick. But other than that he wants it long, for now.

  6. Wonky Patchwork - I was just going to relate a similar story...it must be a 'phase' they go through. I have a five year old boy who just started having an opinion on his hairdo as well. He wants it long in the front so he can 'swoosh' it through the air when he flips his head back? My wife cuts our hair, so she left it a little longer...and funny enough he looks a little more mature. It's strange, funny, and a bit scary at the same time how fast they grow.
