  1. I see you've got a food theme going on! Those strawberries are just gorgeous! And I love the apple print idea!

I have to admit that I am so confused about when the first day of autumn occurs. Some say yesterday, others- today. Needless to say, yesterday I posted as if it was the last day of summer as we headed to the playground (though it really felt more like the first day of autumn as you'll see on our blog)! Today we switch everything over (and I shall post about that later)! :) xo

    1. Yes, food!

For us, autumn arrived at 10:29pm, so the equinox was yesterday, but the first full day of fall is today. That might be where the confusion is.

Have fun with your fall decorating. xo

    1. They are so good Tracey. Wish I could share some with everyone :)

Emerson will love it. There is a great little story to go along with it as well, talks about the star in the apple, and then you slice the apple and find the star. Reece loves it!

  7. Strawberries are persistent little berries, to say the least! :) I love how their final hurrah overlaps into autumn - the colours are a perfect match with a lingering taste of summer.

    1. They are so good Yanic, and so very sweet! I wish I could remember, but I don't. They are an everbearing variety though, which means they produce fruit in June and September. I think everyone should plant everbearing :)

Yes, we made a lovely apple print bunting. So much fun, and Reece and his little friend love seeing the star in the apple.

Thanks my friend, you too! xo

  10. doh, I forgot this again! :) Love these photos... we've never done apple prints. We'll have to try them. What kind of paint did you use?

    1. Haha, no worries, I am here every week :) And feel free to do it on a different day and come back and link up.

We used acrylic paint. I gave the kids a little paint and a brush, they brushed the paint on and then made a print. We did it on individual pieces of cloth and then I had them string them to make a banner. It is hanging behind the fire, and looks awesome.

There is a great story as well, about how the apple got its star. We tell the story, then cut the apple to reveal the star. Always so much fun!

      Enjoy!

  11. mmm, your home always looks so tasty. Just look at those strawberries and so late in the year! We roasted apples this past weekend. The oven baked is good, but there is something about an open flame that can't be duplicated. Be well.

  12. Ah, fall. The time to go apple picking. We went a couple of weekends ago, but, with all the pies, crisps, and apple sauce that my wife has been making we may have to go back an pick another bushel.
Looks like you had a lovely day Kim. Like these morning, noon, night posts.
