Oh, your centerpiece and table look so fall-y, that's lovely! we haven't done much fall decorating yet as it still feels so much like summer this week and i'm savouring it!
Thanks! We are in full fall mode here, even the weather is co-operating. It has been quite chilly over the last week. I am hoping for a few warmer days ahead.
I especially love the last two photograph! I agree with Sylvia, it looks so fall-y! The weather here the past couple of days have been fall like. I need to start flipping the house to fall decoration. The food is already leaning that way. My favorite season :-)I joined you this week! http://ihappyree.blogspot.com/2014/09/morningnoonnight_16.html
Thanks. Monday is soup day in our home, for lunch, so the kiddos help with the chopping. They love it, and I enjoy the help :) Definitely fall like here. I just got back from a run, and I had to wear my winter hat....yup, the seasons are shifting. It is welcome though. Hopping over to see your day, thanks for playing along. xo
I love that caterpillar. A perfect expression of childhood, to be sure!
Indeed! They had to help him cross the road. He was safely transplanted to the tall grass and wild flowers in the ditch :)
It's been very fall like here too! So lovely! And such good helpers you have! What kind of soup did ya'll make?! Have a great day, dear friend! xo
Great helpers! We whipped up butternut squash and red lentil soup. So good! Wishing you a lovely day too Shel. xo
That sounds delicious! Would you mind sharing the recipe with me?! xo
No recipe, unfortunately, I just threw everything in the pot. Sauteed onion and garlic, added the squash, a few sweet potatoes, some cumin and coriander, a little sea salt and vegetable broth (about 4 cups with 2 cups of water). When the squash and potatoes were cooked I blended it all in the Vitamix, returned it to the pot and added 1/3 cup of full fat coconut milk. Then it was served and enjoyed by all. Hope that helps. xo
I love the shift to fall. I am really looking forward to it this year (while we've been in Texas we've missed the drastic seasonal changes that we're used to so getting back to that is something I am thrilled about!)Your table decorations are lovely.http://momentsofpeacemama.wordpress.com/2014/09/16/morning-noon-night-14/
Me too. Actually I love the shift into each season. I find when the shift starts, I am always ready for a change, and welcome whatever season is coming. Thanks, it is definitely feeling like fall both inside and out :)Thanks for playing along. Heading over now to take a look at your day.
I adore your table setting, so fallish! and I am hoping that my sister of mine gifts me a butternut squash if that is what you all are cutting up in that middle photo :)
Thank you. That is what they were cutting up, to make soup :) So good!
My daughter sets Emerson up at the table to practice to her knife skills just like Reece and his friend are doing. She keeps telling me I need to practice too, I can cook well, but always cut myself ;)
Time to get practicing Tracey :)
i love your fall centrepiece...autumn treasures brings such warmth into a home !!!
Thank you, and I agree, they do!
What a lovely dinner table. Was it a rainy day?
Thanks KC. I love my harvest table. It was raining actually, but not the whole day. It started as I began cooking, and rained all night.
Your home is so lovely. Inside and out. I'm glad the catapiller made it to safety. I hope it makes it before the cold comes. I had a laugh at your second picture. I was trying to figure out why they were cutting up beeswax candles. Hehe. Butternut squash soup sounds delicious. Have a great week.
Awe, thanks. I said the same thing under my breath as the kids found a safe place for it :) Haha, no, it was squash, and the soup was delicious. Thanks, you too!
Beautiful table centrepiece, and chopping vegetables always goes down well here too.
Thanks! They are enjoying it, let's hope it keeps up :)
Your center piece is beautiful! What lovely peeks into your day. Do you know what kind of caterpillar it was?
Thank you Yanic. We have looked and think it might be a zebra caterpillar.
Oh, I love this idea of sharing tidbits of your day. Your center piece is beautiful...I love how it adds such a feeling of warmth and coziness to your table.
Thanks, feel free to join in if you like. I play every Tuesday, but you can do a post any day and come back and link up.And thank you. It is always on our table, and we change it up with the seasons. We all love it.
I love looking at your house pics, Kim. The love, calm and the warmth just radiate from the images – I felt them just looking – thanks for sharing!
Awe, thank you my friend. That means so very much coming from you. Can't wait to welcome you into our home next year :)
