Blog Swap Goodies

The wonderful Amanda is holding another blog swap, and there was no way I could resist taking part, I had so much fun last time. I have been busy making a few things to send my secret friend. There is a knitted jar cozy with a mason jar filled with dehydrated nettle leaves from my garden, so my swap friend can have a few cups of nourishing nettle tea. I made up some self care products...hand salve, lip balm and body butter that I hope she will enjoy. And last but not least, I asked Justin to create a little wooden owl for me to send, just a little something made from some fallen down trees around our property. I do hope she enjoys it all.

I will package it up this weekend, and send it on its way early next week. There is a happy mail day coming to someone soon.

And now, I sit back and wait patiently for my package to arrive.

  2. What a lovely bundle of goodies to send, it will indeed be a happy mail day for someone. And that owl is gorgeous, your husband is very talented. I keep meaning to ask you what your FB page is called? I've been wanting to find you and 'like' you on there but your link on your contact page doesn't seem to work for me, and you don't appear to be anything too close to your blog name???

    1. Thank you! I am a pretty lucky lady to have such a talented hubby who makes my wood visions come true :)

I have actually just recently deactivated my FB and Twitter accounts, that is why you can't find me. The plan was to deactivate for the month of August, but I have to admit I am enjoying the time away, so I am not totally sure when/if I will be back. There are some definite pros to FB..connection with some lovely friends around the world, the ease of messaging and planning with local friends, and of course selling our toys and my product. I am just trying to figure out if those pros are priorities in my life, and if I can find other ways to do those things without it. Since I have deactivated I have sent more handwritten notes, more emails and chatted with people on the phone or in person, and I kinda like it.

If I log back in at some point, I will let you know. xo

    1. I hope so. Sometimes these swaps are a little stressful, trying to figure just what to make and send. I am pretty sure she will enjoy it all.

And thank you, I love the owl too, and might request one for myself :) I am a lucky lady, and I know it.
