{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words -
capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary
moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by Soulemama.

The texture in this photo is just lovely!
ReplyDeleteHere's my moment, from January of my sister and I at the wedding of my cousin. Cheating a bit and posting it today because it has many happy memories attached to it, and because a piece I wrote about my hairstyle that day just ran on A Practical Wedding (and I'm maybe overly proud of that)! http://www.notintentonarriving.com/2014/08/this-moment_22.html
Thanks so much, and congratulations to you. You should be very proud :)
DeleteWhat a very sweet and peaceful seeming moment! Love the black and white.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week-end! xo

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
Awe, thanks. Hope you have a lovely weekend too.
DeleteYes, peaceful. Did Reece enjoy his summer? I bet he did with all the wonderful things you all did together...
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
xo
It was, for a moment :) He has, and still is enjoying his summer. It has been a good one. We start "school" September 8, so we have a few more weeks to soak up the last little bits of summer.
DeleteYou too. xo
beautiful photo. i love how black and white changes the mood of a photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and yes, I agree.
DeleteThis is just great. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Taryn, you too!
DeleteI love this in black and white Kim. Did you measure Reece at the beginning of summer? He looks like he has grown several inches.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a great weekend.
Thank you Tracey. Yes, we did. We will do a little check in next week. I am pretty sure you are right about that, all of his pants are about 2 inches short :)
DeleteWishing you a lovely weekend too. xo
Oh I would love to know what thoughts are floating through his head! Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteMe too :) Thank you!
DeleteLovely photo. Reece looks like he has learnt your living life slowly skills. As much as I'm sure he rushes round madly like all boys do, he also seems to naturally take breaks to sit and reflect.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sally. Reece is a very observant person, so yes, he does tend to run around madly like all kids do, but he does stop regularly to just sit. I think this is just his nature, but it could also be a little bit of nurture too.
DeleteOne day those swinging feet will reach the floor, until then enjoy his childhood and his growing :)
ReplyDeleteOh you know I am Karen, every bit of it :)
DeleteLove the light in black and white!
ReplyDeleteThanks Meryl.
DeleteLove this, and the black and white just adds a whole other layer of drama! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Shel. xo
