Yarn Along

I am working on Milo number five and it is going well. I decided to knit another one up in this lovely brownish coloured yarn. It was my favourite of all the Milos I have knit so far and I just had to do another one.

The reading has been a little slow this week, I spent most of the weekend in the kitchen canning, and when I wasn't canning I was making salves and knitting. Oh and I had my little man running around at my feet. Good times it was. So a little bit of doula reading to keep me going on my studies and that is it.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  2. How long does it take you to make those puppies? You knock them out pretty quickly. I bet you could do them in your sleep! The color is yummy!

    1. Not too long :) I have enjoyed knitting them a lot, most likely because they are all going to special babes arriving over the next few months.

    1. Me too! It is already starting to feel like fall here...cool night, chilly mornings and the leaves are starting to change just a bit. I love summer, but I do love the change of seasons, and fall is a favourite time of year for me.

Glad you are able to can and put up food for this winter, it is such a great feeling isn't it?
What kind of salves are you making? I haven't done any, but would love to learn.

    1. Thanks Tracey. And yes feels great to get food put away for winter, both the freezer and the pantry are slowing filling up.

I did a comfrey lavender salve. Really easy to do, soak the herbs in oil, strain, add in some beeswax, melt together and then pour into containers and let set.
