A Good Day

Waking early,
alone,
enjoying the quiet darkness
of our home.
Yoga,
writing,
reading,
connecting to myself.
A day that flows
without effort.
Time in nature,
good food,
the people I love,
a little laughter,
lots of play
and moments of stillness.
As night falls
a soak in the tub
with a good book,
then hot tea
and knitting.
Feeling sleep
calling,
sinking into bed
eyes heavy
from the fullness
of a good day,
mind recalling moments,
heart full of gratitude.

    1. Thank you, now to make it happen. This is a "dream" good day. I get bits and pieces of this day each and every day, but have yet to have it unfold as the one above. I won't stop trying though, one day it will happen :)

    1. I do it in the morning Maria. The goal is always to get up before the little man, and have a little me time before the day starts...yoga, journaling, reading. An hour is perfect. It has going well in the fall, but then his radar kicked in and it seems lately I get about 5 or 10 minutes before he realizes I have gotten up and then he comes searching for me. I know I will get it back, one day, just have to hang onto the dream of a good day :)

    2. I have moved my practice to the evening. There is just too much going on in the morning for me to carve out that time. The evening, I tend to be more receptive to the Practice. Thank you so much for sharing Kim...

    3. I have wondered about doing that the last month or so, as little man has put his radar on full force in the morning, I just can't seem to motivate myself in the evening for yoga. Maybe I should try, just that once might be all I need to get started. Thank you for sharing :)
