A Family Walk

We walk, pretty much, every day as a family. We leash up Shelby and head out to explore, to see what changes in nature have occurred and to just breath in fresh, country air.

Last week with a dog staying with us for the week, our walks included not just one, but two dogs. It always makes things a little more interesting when Pebbles is with us.  First all, Reece loves Pebbles, and loves to walk with her. And second, the country is so new to Pebbles, who lives in the city.  She loves being in the country and especially loves coming on our family walks.

Pebbles

Reece and Pebbles - He loves her so much!

Rocks mama, can you put them in your pocket?

Look mama, a snail!

Yay, finally some buds on the trees

    1. Thanks Tracey. And yes, finally. The weather hasn't really been too bad, but it seems like the trees should be in full bloom already...yes I am a little impatient :)

  6. We try to walk everyday too. No matter the weather. We do, of course miss some days but more often than not we go for a family stroll. It's good medicine. Love that third picture. Reece looks intent on something.

    1. You are so right, good medicine for the mind, body and soul. I can't quite remember what he was looking at, something across the road in the forest.

  9. That's awesome! What kind of dog is Pebbles? He looks like my kind of pooch. :) We take family walks with our dog, too, and we love it. It makes my daughter so happy! I stopped by from Happy Family Times, and I'll definitely be back.

  11. What a lovely walk. I laughed out loud at the rock picture. I often hear loud noises right after the washing machine starts only to open it and find at least one pair of pants with rocks in the pockets! What is it with little boys and their rocks???

  13. And little girls. My daughter's pockets were always full of rocks. Recently though she's moved on to dresses. So now I'm expected to carry the rocks of course ;) Your son is just darling and the dog looks so happy to be going for a walk!

  14. Pebbles is too cute! It does change the whole dynamic to have a dog along, doesn't it? :)

    1. We usually have our dog with us, but it definitely changes the dynamic when Pebbles is with us, she goes a little bit crazy with joy in the country :)

  15. When you said that the dog loved going into the woods because he doesn't get to often I thought what a great shame. We've come to a world where animals don't get outside! At least your dog gets outside all the time!

    1. I think Pebbles gets a daily walk at home, but in the city, totally different than being in the country. Her owner actually tells me that when they load up the car with her food and bed to come to our place Pebbles get so excited. There have even been a few times that she wouldn't get in the car when they came to pick her up. She really does love it here :)

    1. Thanks! And yes, he brings everything home. Rocks for his room, sticks for Shelby (our dog) and flowers for me :)

  17. How cute is Pebbles! I love the picture of Reece and Pebbles cuddling :-) You've inspired me to get out walking again, we had a lovely long walk today. Master D was on his scooter for most of it too. And Reece's knits are great, love the colours.

Thanks for sharing on Happy Family Times!
