We walk, pretty much, every day as a family. We leash up
Shelby and head out to explore, to see what changes in nature have occurred and
to just breath in fresh, country air.
Last week with a dog staying with us for the week, our walks
included not just one, but two dogs. It always makes things a little more
interesting when Pebbles is with us.
First all, Reece loves Pebbles, and loves to walk with her. And second,
the country is so new to Pebbles, who lives in the city. She loves being in the country
and especially loves coming on our family walks.

You have one adorable son! I love his hat and cowl especially :) Pebbles seems to be enjoying the walk!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And yes Pebbles loves her walks.
DeleteI love your pictures of Reece, but it really makes me miss when my boys were that age! He really is quite adorable. Such a little man!
ReplyDeleteAwe, thanks! It is such a fun age, but I am sure I will say that at every age :)
Deletehehe i love the rocks caption! oh so often our mama pockets bulge after a trip outdoors, right!? all those treasures that won't fit into their pockets always seem to end up in ours :)
ReplyDeleteI thought some other mamas would appreciate that caption. It never fails, we always come home with a ton of rocks.
DeleteHow wonderful!!
ReplyDeletelovin' that quiet country road..how nice!
Thanks Brooke. That is one of our quiet country roads, the other one isn't so quiet...except on weekends :)
DeleteYour Reece is adorable Kim. Glad to see spring has found you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracey. And yes, finally. The weather hasn't really been too bad, but it seems like the trees should be in full bloom already...yes I am a little impatient :)
DeleteWe try to walk everyday too. No matter the weather. We do, of course miss some days but more often than not we go for a family stroll. It's good medicine. Love that third picture. Reece looks intent on something.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, good medicine for the mind, body and soul. I can't quite remember what he was looking at, something across the road in the forest.
Deletefinn always asks me to carry his rocks too!
ReplyDeleteI think every mama has come home from a walk a few pounds heavier :)
DeletePebbles + Reece = love.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet post- your little man is too cute.
Awe, thanks so much!
DeleteThat's awesome! What kind of dog is Pebbles? He looks like my kind of pooch. :) We take family walks with our dog, too, and we love it. It makes my daughter so happy! I stopped by from Happy Family Times, and I'll definitely be back.
ReplyDeletePebbles is a labradoodle. She is awesome and we love having her here.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
He just get's cuter and cuter! So glad you were able to enjoy the day outdoors an see some signs of Spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly! So happy to be spending so much time outdoors, it seems like it has been a very long waiting game.
DeleteWhat a lovely walk. I laughed out loud at the rock picture. I often hear loud noises right after the washing machine starts only to open it and find at least one pair of pants with rocks in the pockets! What is it with little boys and their rocks???
ReplyDeleteHaha, here too!! Little boys and rocks are just made for each other I guess :)
DeleteWhy yes. mama's pockets are for all sorts of great finds! Came here by way of Happy Family Times. Here is my offering this week: http://likemamalikedaughter.blogspot.com/2012/04/birthday-moments.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. And yes, pockets are great for so many amazing finds :)
DeleteAnd little girls. My daughter's pockets were always full of rocks. Recently though she's moved on to dresses. So now I'm expected to carry the rocks of course ;) Your son is just darling and the dog looks so happy to be going for a walk!
ReplyDeleteYes, of course :) I think they should put little pockets in those dresses. And thanks, I kinda think so too :)
DeletePebbles is too cute! It does change the whole dynamic to have a dog along, doesn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteWe usually have our dog with us, but it definitely changes the dynamic when Pebbles is with us, she goes a little bit crazy with joy in the country :)
DeleteWhen you said that the dog loved going into the woods because he doesn't get to often I thought what a great shame. We've come to a world where animals don't get outside! At least your dog gets outside all the time!
ReplyDeleteI think Pebbles gets a daily walk at home, but in the city, totally different than being in the country. Her owner actually tells me that when they load up the car with her food and bed to come to our place Pebbles get so excited. There have even been a few times that she wouldn't get in the car when they came to pick her up. She really does love it here :)
DeleteThey are great photos. Do you find the same as me that he wants to take everything (sticks and stones, daisies etc) home with him?
ReplyDeleteThanks! And yes, he brings everything home. Rocks for his room, sticks for Shelby (our dog) and flowers for me :)
DeleteHow cute is Pebbles! I love the picture of Reece and Pebbles cuddling :-) You've inspired me to get out walking again, we had a lovely long walk today. Master D was on his scooter for most of it too. And Reece's knits are great, love the colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing on Happy Family Times!
Awe, that is great, happy to inspire :) Sounds like a great walk. And thanks on the knits, I too love the colours.
