{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by Soulemama.
Reece spent about an hour the other day searching for critters in a piece of driftwood I removed from a garden so I could rake it. He found a ton of little bugs and had a blast.
Oh my gosh, I love this picture! Such a great moment! I still cannot get over how warm it has been this week!
Our moment comes from our first clotheline drying of the season! Couldn't pass up the chance to take advantage of all this amazing weather! http://ouronesweetfamily.blogspot.com/2012/03/this-moment_23.html
Hey little fella, whatcha got in there? Whatever it is, he's totally into it. Have a great weekend! Here's ours: http://littlecoffeebeans.typepad.com/blog/2012/03/this-moment-2.html
I was so happy to find that the other day, Reece had been collecting bugs and putting them in air tight containers, broke my little heart that he didn't understand why that wasn't a good idea, it was a little hard to explain to him.
Oh, the memories! All my guys had the same little bug houses when they were small. I use to have the hardest time as a young mom since I was a city girl with two sisters. Now, I'm an old pro! Your wee one is such a handsome young man and I hope he enjoys many bugs in the years to come. Have a great weekend!
Glad I could bring back some happy memories Tracey. I am not a big bug person, but it is amazing what a little boy with questions and the need to explore can do...he had me picking up worms and other critters. We had a great time!
Thanks Rachael, he loves collecting bugs. We picked up the box at a little store in Toronto, but I have seen them online. It would be easier enough to make as well, which was our plan until I saw it in the store and decided to pick it up. It was locally made so I felt good about the purchase :)
My son (now 18 yo) loved to collect all kinds of creatures and then release. Have a lovely weekend!
