I am amazed at some of the things people dispose of on the side of our rural roads. On our daily walks we have seen freezers, refrigerators, sofas, coffee tables, rugs, shingles, wood, tons of beer and liquor bottles, bags of garbage and so on.
It saddens me to know how little respect people have for Mother Earth and to the people who live here. We are here such a short time, but our actions toward Mother Earth last forever.
Last week, though, Justin was driving along one of our rural roads and found a treasure. It was in rough shape, but he brought it home, replaced the bottom and within hours I had it set out on our outdoor dining table for our feathered friends to enjoy all winter long.
This time we found a treasure.
