  2. All to soon that sled will be put to use in the snow, nice to see that it gets used during the other seasons. Your home always looks so peaceful, please tell me there are times when there are socks hanging from the lamps so I can feel a little better about the dinosaurs at my feet competing for space under the table ;). And still eating out of your garden... Yep, you do have a blessed home. Be well.

    1. Yes, I know. I am hoping the snow stays away for a little while :)

You know, our home is small, what you see in the photo is pretty much our main living space. The dining room table is up against the outside wall, with enough room for me to squeeze in there for dinner, and the fireplace is up against another wall. Behind the sofa is a small area with my craft space, office and reading nook. And to the right of the sofa are the stairs leading up to the loft. So this space is where we eat, craft, read, snuggle, play, and live. I don't like clutter, and my mind gets very frazzled if I am surrounded by clutter, so we tend to keep things tidy and clutter free. And since it is a small space, it really doesn't require much work at all. So, what you see in the photo is pretty much what our home looks like all the time. There are times when the kids are making forts and the sofa pillows are all over the place, but since it is the only spot to sit, when it is time to read a book, or work at the coffee table, we have to tidy up. It works for us :)

And yes, those are greens from the fall/winter garden...more on that tomorrow :)

      Thanks for playing along. xo

    1. Thanks Shel! I hope it is a long while before the snow comes :) Although I always say if it is going to be cold we might as well have snow to play in. Because cold, and no snow is not fun at all.

Hope you are having a great day my friend. xo

  6. Haha, yes, their "friends" had to come with us yesterday morning, and they decided the sled would be perfect :) They are actually doing some stickers, a little quiet time activity.

    Thanks for playing along.

  7. Your greens look yummy. I'm about to pick some of our fall kale as well. They grow slow, but they look so much happier growing in the cool. I look at your first picture and all I can hear in my head s the grinding of the sled on rocks. LOL! Looks like they had a wonderful day... who wouldn't with that many stickers??? :-) xo

    1. Thanks, they taste good too :) Yup, it sure did grind on the stones, but you know they had a blast, and that is what counts. It was a great day, always is with these two kiddos. I am pretty lucky to get to spend my days with them.

  9. I love seeing these glimpses into your beautiful home and life Kim. I am always reading and viewing and constantly inspired, but also my heart is just warmed seeing the lovely life you are living because I know it is warming your heart as well - to be living it. That coffee table is gorgeous too...a Justin original? :)

    1. Thank you Sara, for your very sweet and kind words. It is true, I love this life, and my heart is so very happy.

That table is a 1970's original :) It was my parents, and I remember it in our living room as a child. It got tucked away in storage, and when my dad pulled it out a few years ago, Justin and I inherited it. We love it! Teak furniture is awesome, and it has such simple lines. We also inherited a chair as well, bought at the same time as the table. I just wish my parents had kept the teak dining room set they had :)

Hope you are well my friend. Miss you. xo
