Happy Mail Day
You know how much I like happy mail days, well, yesterday was one. There were a few packages delivered by our lovely mail lady, but the best one was from Mountain Girl Yarns. I have been waiting all summer for Camilla to open her shop, saving a few dollars here and there so I could make a purchase as soon as it opened up. The hardest part on opening day was deciding which of her beautiful hand dyed artisan yarns to choose, there is so much goodness in her shop. I settled on this one, Allspice, and am so happy with it. Such a lovely blend of fall like colours. I now have to decide what to knit up. Definitely something for me. Any ideas?
Pssst...word has it that Camilla will be doing a little giveaway in this space next month. Make sure to stop in and enter.

How beautiful! I would make myself one of those beautiful lacy infinity scarves. But that is just me, I LOOOVE scarves! :-) Colors are gorgeous. I'll have to check out her store.

It is a pretty awesome colour. I haven't knit socks before Tracey, and I am not sure I want to try with this beautiful yarn for my first time. I will have to think on it.
DeleteYou too!
Kim, here is a link to a site that really helped me when I was first learning to knit socks and I thought it might help you too if you're interested.

DeleteWhat a perfect name! :) Sitting here itching to start some Christmas gift hats and craving more yarn...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it! I am always craving more yarn. We went to the fleece festival in Woodstock today, it was amazing. So much goodness under one roof.
DeleteI am so glad that you like the yarn Kim- Looking forward to the give away :)
ReplyDeleteI love it Camilla. Thank you.
DeleteWhat a beautiful colour, so perfect for this time of year. I would definitely vote for something very visible, like a scarf maybe, rather than anything more hidden away - like socks!
ReplyDeleteAh, so true. I am leaning towards a scarf, just need to find a pattern. Thanks!
Deletesocks, or mitts, or a cowl. Does that help you narrow it down :)
ReplyDeleteIt does! Thanks Karen. xo
