Our Weekend

Our Waldorf playgroup started the day on Saturday. After singing, playing and baking bread with our friends Reece and I headed out to run a few errands, get him a haircut and enjoy a little lunch date at this lovely spot. Then it was home for a quiet dinner followed by a quiet evening.

Sunday morning, bright and early, there were pancakes, and preparations for lunch guests. We meet our friends at the conservation area mid morning for the most wonderful hike. As you can see, there is still a ton of snow, but the sun was shining, we were hat and mitt free and you could feel the warmth from the sun...spring is slowly trying to make her presence known. Back at our home, tired, but happy, we enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon. Good friends, good food, good conversation and kiddos playing well together, what more can you ask for. Once our friends were on their way home we tidied up and settled in for an easy dinner and another quiet evening.

How was your weekend?

  2. look at the snow! ours is quickly melting away and I was thinking of you as it shrinks. I think we are getting colder weather later this week but unsure of the snow. I'm not checking yet...

  4. Sounds like a lovely weekend. Spring is ever so slowly making her way here. Enough snow has melted that I can see the top of my garage service door. Be well :)

    1. I feel pretty darn lucky KC. It hasn't always been this way, but in the last year or so we have made some really wonderful connections with some pretty amazing families...families I see us hanging out with for many years to come. And that feels pretty darn good.

  9. Your weekend sounds and looks lovely! Much of our snow melted last week but it froze on Saturday night so now the sidewalks are icy again. :) xo
