A Reminder

We awoke to another snowfall.
Light, fluffy snowflakes,
falling slowly, delicately to the ground.
In the beauty of the falling snow
a little reminder to slow down,
to sink into this season,
to soak it up, and enjoy it.

  1. How beautiful! We'll never see a snowy white scene like this in Florida, but I am grateful for temps in the 60's this week! It's hard to get in the spirit when it's 85 degrees outside! :)

  3. Oh yes, always, but it's good to be reminded once in a while. Be well.

  4. Love.

We are keeping it simple this year (gifts for our kids and my younger nieces and nephews only). It feels so good and so very right! It leaves so much more free time to enjoy life and all it's blessings.

    1. Thanks Carrie. We keep it simple around here too. And really, enjoying life and it's blessings is what the holidays is all about :)

  5. So it's true that it could snow almost everyday! Turning the lights off this time of year has had that slowing effect on me. For example after getting ready for that craft show my fingers were a mess. So dry and cracked. Having the lights off has forced me to go to bed early rather then sew up one more thing or knit another row. It's given me time for rest and healing.

I would love to know what it feels like to be snowed in. To know you are safe inside your house with food and warmth. I've never seen more than an inch of snow in my life!

    1. Oh yes, it has been this week, every single day. And I think that will continue through the weekend. We have two storms headed out way, one Thursday night and another one Saturday night.

So happy you have had this time this week KC.

Being snowed in, as long as you have what you need and the power doesn't go off, it is awesome :)
