They are finally here!!! We waited patiently this summer, watching the little green gems slowly turn colour and ripen. It was painfully slow. But these days, we are heading out to the garden daily and coming in with the sweetest tomatoes by the bowlful. We are eating them as is, roasting them, making sauce with them and tossing them in salads and just about everything else. Tomato season is here, finally, and we are enjoying every last bite.
They look wonderful Kim and I know you will enjoy them. I miss them already.
ReplyDeleteI have been working on getting the fall garden in, so late this year, but hopefully it will be a good one.

ReplyDeleteI think it has been, so happy to finally have some ripening away. Still many more to come.
Deleteoh my goodness - how DELICIOUS do those look?!?!?
ReplyDeleteThey are as delicious as they look :)
DeleteThose look great! It makes me want to grow some different varieties of cherry tomatoes next year. We are swimming in tomatoes here too. E just made a batch of salsa tonight and started another batch of dehydrated ones too. Enjoy those tasty morsels! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is fun growing different kinds, my problem is to know when to stop planting seeds...we end up with so many because I want to plant as many kinds as I can. Oh well, just means a little extra time in the kitchen putting them up for winter :)
