Gratitude

~ for beautiful late summer days

~ for the beauty found when I slow down and notice

~ for connecting with friends in a place I feel so at home...the woods

~ for conversations that make my heart sing

~ for slow meals with friends and family

~ for food from the backyard

~ for trusting my little man enough to let his journey unfold as he wants it to

~ for new adventures that will undoubtedly stretch me both as a mom and a person

~ for the inspiring people in my life

~ for moments of stillness when I can breathe deep and take it all in

What are you grateful for today?

  2. "for trusting my little man enough to let his journey unfold as he wants it to"

    Nice one, mama.

I am grateful for SO many things. But right now, it's for a book called "Siblings Without Rivalry." It's amazing how someone can set out with strong intentions to be a really good, conscious parent and still need help along the way.

We all need help along the way :)

  3. Beautiful post...

I'm grateful for children that bring calm to my life by their mild temperament and their obvious old souls and for a husband that is with me in every step of our parenting adventure.

  6. Every night we talk about what we are grateful for at the table. Right now it's mostly me saying things but the girls and D try. We've been doing this since January and it's interesting to see how it changes.

I am grateful for the cloudy weather we've had. That there was not a rattle snake in our house last week even though we found his skin by the chimney and that i have to opportunity to help my children learn at their own pace.

    1. It is lovely to express gratitude with our children. Reece and I do it before bed, he tells me and I write it down for him in his journal.

      A rattle snake..yikes!

  8. Love love love this. That last photo is brilliant. I stopped today to catch my breath, then allowed it to slow so I could really feel it. It brought clarity, and a new sense of gratitude in that moment too xx

  9. Stretching as a mom and a person. Sometimes that can bring challenges, but they seem to be the best kind...the ones that bring us even closer to our true selves. Such lovely photos my friend. I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

  10. Beautifully spoken, Kim. Sometimes I need to stop and notice more....just always feel like I'm in such a rush! Great reminder to slow down now and again.
