Nature Walk

We go on a little nature walk every day, and every day we return with treasures in hand. One day last week we took a little basket with us, okay it was a big one...it was Reece's choice, to collect treasures for the list of wonderful fall crafts I have planned for us.

It was a lovely September day, we enjoyed a hike, a snack on the side of the trail, some stories about forest fairies and collected treasures, big and small.

As we neared the end of our hike look what some lovely hikers left on the trail for us to find. It took my breath away when I saw it. Reece smiled, and so did I. A lovely treasure to find in the forest.

  3. You live in such a beautiful place! That's one thing I find about hiking and being in the back country, it often brings out the best in people. They are away from all the mumbo jumbo of city life. :)

  5. You are smart to bring a basket, our finds always end up in my pockets! How funny to see that your leaves haven't begun to change really, our are almost in full swing and we are just a bit farther North.
What a lovely message the leave the forest with.

  7. i'm looking forward to seeing some of your nature projects! we always come home with so many "treasures"- we have our rock basket that the boys use all the time for building homes and such with for all their play people and animals, but i need to find some ideas for all the pinecones and acorns that seem to be pouring out of every pocket when we walk in the door! ps- best of luck with your doula practice, how exciting about attending a birth soon!
