Welcome Fall

It's here!

Fall.

Changing leaves, cool mornings and dark evenings.

Acorns and pine cones.

Sweaters, scarves and fingerless gloves.

Hot tea, soup and homemade bread.

Curling up on the couch with quilts in front of the fire.

Are you ready?

Today we will welcome fall with a little trip to the market, some fall crafting,
a little nature table redesign, baking bread, making soup and if the rain lets up,
a little time by the fire pit outside welcoming this colourful, vibrant and wonderful season.

Wishing you a lovely first day of fall. Enjoy!

  4. Ooooohhh, I'm soooo jealous!! I love autumn, it's my favourite time of year. We are, as you know, heading into Spring {well, right into it now}. It's lovely too but it promises the heat that summer brings and that I could so do without.
    Enjoy your beautiful autumn xxx

  5. What a lovely photo. Fall, or Autumn as we call it, is my favorite time of the year. I love the more mild temps after the heat of summer. My birthday is also in Autumn. Perfect.

  6. What a great photo - We're just getting enough leaves down to get a little pile for jumping. I love this time of year!

    1. Thanks Gretchen, we don't have much to play with yet, this is a picture from last fall. Reece keeps asking when there will be enough though...he can't wait to jump in them again.

  10. I read this when you first posted it a few weeks ago and tucked it away in my inbox to reread and remind myself that fall is indeed around the bend! Thank you for letting me live vicariously through your joy until autumn arrives in the SE US!
