  1. Happy May Day.
Today was bitter sweet for me, this is my Pappaw's birthday, so I sat and looked at old photos and remembered him.
    Enjoy a great weekend.

  4. Happy May Day to you and your sweet family, dear friend! This is one of our most favorite festivals to celebrate (pics on the blog tomorrow)! I wish we lived closer so we could leave some flowers for you! I'm sure these baskets brought a smile to everyone who received them! xo

    1. Thanks Shel. We love this festival too, and hope one day that we might get the chance to participate in a May Pole dance...

So far those that received them have been thrilled, and surprised, which is always nice. xo

  11. Yes, Happy May Day. Nice to see someone celebrating it. This was never an event for me when I was growing up and I have only heard about it this year...I know, what rock have I been living under? I will have to write in on my calendar for next year.

    1. Thank you. Not something I celebrated as a child either, but something we have incorporated into our yearly seasonal rhythm over the last few years. It is a lovely festival, and I love the simple tradition of giving surprise flowers, such a perfect time of year to do it.

  12. We don't celebrate May Day, but I may (no pun intended) add it to our calendar next year!
    Are those tulips yours already?

    1. Thanks KC. That's too bad, it is a really lovely, and simple tradition, that has come to mean so much for my little man and the people he leaves flowers for.
