Happy weekend Anke!
Happy May Day to you and your sweet family, dear friend! This is one of our most favorite festivals to celebrate (pics on the blog tomorrow)! I wish we lived closer so we could leave some flowers for you! I'm sure these baskets brought a smile to everyone who received them! xo
Thanks Shel. We love this festival too, and hope one day that we might get the chance to participate in a May Pole dance...So far those that received them have been thrilled, and surprised, which is always nice. xo
Happy May Day! What a lovely way to start the weekend :)
It was perfect!
May day is over, but I wish you a nice weekend!
Ha, thanks Karin-Ida, same to you!
What a lovely idea and a great way to celebrate the start of May :)

Thanks Em, we love this festival, and sharing flowers with those we love is wonderful. Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend. xo
Happy May Day to you Kim...all month long!!!
I had such a busy day with work yesterday I almost forgot! I did get the lawn mowed in the evening :)
Well, that is good :)
Yes, Happy May Day. Nice to see someone celebrating it. This was never an event for me when I was growing up and I have only heard about it this year...I know, what rock have I been living under? I will have to write in on my calendar for next year.
Thank you. Not something I celebrated as a child either, but something we have incorporated into our yearly seasonal rhythm over the last few years. It is a lovely festival, and I love the simple tradition of giving surprise flowers, such a perfect time of year to do it.
We don't celebrate May Day, but I may (no pun intended) add it to our calendar next year! Are those tulips yours already?
It is a lot of fun, and the kids really enjoy it. No, not ours, ours haven't bloomed yet...still waiting.
happy first day of may!!
How lovely! I thought about doing this but realized we'd be out in the woods that day. :)
Thanks KC. That's too bad, it is a really lovely, and simple tradition, that has come to mean so much for my little man and the people he leaves flowers for.
Happy May Day! We delivered a flower basket to a neighbor, planted our garden and I gave my daughter a little fairy garden surprise outside her window!
Thanks! Oh that sounds just lovely.
You have such lovely traditions throughout the year.
Awe, thank you. We love marking these days, they are just part of our yearly rhythm, and it feels right for us.
