Reece, watching you explore and enjoy the natural world makes my heart sing. One of the things I hope you leave our home with, when the time comes, is a deep connection to nature, and an understanding of your place in it. I think we are well on our way.

This is one the most important things for us too. I really want my kids to feel connected to the outdoors, and comfortable when they spend time outside too. It's a priority.
ReplyDeleteI think it is such an important connection to have for so many reasons. Happy to hear we are not the only ones that feel this way. I wish more people did.
DeleteI always feel everything is going to be okay when I'm out in nature - especially down near the ocean.
ReplyDeleteI feel that same way Leisa, and I am pretty sure my little man does too.
DeleteLovely capture!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen!
DeleteOh that looks like fun! His and your love of nature and outdoors shines through everything and it's lovely to see!
ReplyDeleteIt was a ton of fun, tadpoles galore, and a frog.
DeleteAwe, thank you Carie.
any tadpoles yet? I've been looking when we walk and so far no sign. Love the photo and your thoughts as you took it.
ReplyDeleteTons Karen. He was scooping them up with his hands, and watching them wiggle before putting them back in the pond. We found a frog on the same day too.
DeleteThank you. xo
I'm sure you are!!!! (thanks Reece for the lovely card!!! and drawing)
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend. You are most welcome, glad to hear it arrived :)
DeleteSuch a sweet beautiful picture. It's so important to so these nature excursions with our littles. I really want o take mine camping in the next month.
ReplyDeleteXO
Thank you Cory. I agree, so very important. Hope you get out for that camping trip. I have taken Reece over the last four summers, a few times each summer, and he loves it. We have no plans to do any camping this year, but I am already feeling the pull to plan a little one. I will have to see how the summer unfolds.
DeleteYou are incredibly well on the way! Did he find some tadpoles or frogs?
ReplyDeleteAwe, thank you my friend. He found both, tadpoles and frogs. Such an exciting time of year.
DeletePS Did you happen to get my email?
He always looks so at ease in your picture, like he just knows that all that is around him is also a part of him. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about his love of nature. You are doing such a great job with him mama. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Yanic. He is pretty comfortable in nature, exploring and moving through the woods at his own pace. It is lovely to watch.
DeleteThank you my friend. xo
A beautiful picture and wish for your boy. I'm sure he will carry these beautiful peaceful times with him wherever he goes.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so. xo
DeleteAn absolutely gorgeous picture of your little man! Though he's not looking so little to me anymore! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Shel. I know, growing up before my eyes...but he will always be my little man :)
