A Morning by The Lake

A lovely, spring like day.

A walk along the path,
through the forest, and by the meadow,
ending at the lake.

Kiddos, water and rocks.

Mamas sitting on a log,
enjoying the sun, and chatting.

A slow meander back to the car,
cardinals singing, red winged blackbirds calling.

Soul filled, heart happy,
thanks to a wonderful morning by the lake.

  1. How wonderful that you have a lake like this so close to where you live! Beautiful spot to take the kiddos to and let them have fun.

    1. It is wonderful, and I feel very lucky to have grown up on the shores of Lake Ontario. And I love that my little man enjoys his time at the lake as much as I do :)

  2. A beautiful way to spend a morning Kim. That sure is a big lake, not at all like the lakes we have here, and although Santee is large it's not as pretty as the lake you visit.

    1. That is Lake Ontario Tracey, one of the great lakes. It is huge, and there are so many wonderful spots along its shores to visit, and hang out for a bit.

    1. Yes, the snow has melted by the lake, and as of yesterday most of it has disappeared from our place, a little further north. It is amazing to see the grass again...finally!

  5. Oh my, look at that sun! I practically got a dose of vitamin D through your pictures. :-) Sorry you missed the ice, but very little can beat that light!

Hope your week is just wonderful!

  13. Oh Kim, what a glorious day! And the sun shining on the water is truly incredible! How I wish we had been there with you too!

Our day today was glorious as well (though no sunshine on the water for us). It was lovely to be out without coats or hats and even more exciting to find some crocus! xo
