A lovely, spring like day.
A walk along the path,
through the forest, and by the meadow,
ending at the lake.
Kiddos, water and rocks.
Mamas sitting on a log,
enjoying the sun, and chatting.
A slow meander back to the car,
cardinals singing, red winged blackbirds calling.
Soul filled, heart happy,
thanks to a wonderful morning by the lake.
How wonderful that you have a lake like this so close to where you live! Beautiful spot to take the kiddos to and let them have fun.ReplyDelete
It is wonderful, and I feel very lucky to have grown up on the shores of Lake Ontario. And I love that my little man enjoys his time at the lake as much as I do :)Delete
A beautiful way to spend a morning Kim. That sure is a big lake, not at all like the lakes we have here, and although Santee is large it's not as pretty as the lake you visit.ReplyDelete
That is Lake Ontario Tracey, one of the great lakes. It is huge, and there are so many wonderful spots along its shores to visit, and hang out for a bit.Delete
That looks like a soul filled day! Especially with that blue sky. I know just the feeling you are writing about. :) Good morning and wonderful day!ReplyDelete
It definitely was!Delete
That sounds like the perfect morning, beautiful images too. And look, no snow!ReplyDelete
Yes, the snow has melted by the lake, and as of yesterday most of it has disappeared from our place, a little further north. It is amazing to see the grass again...finally!Delete
Oh my, look at that sun! I practically got a dose of vitamin D through your pictures. :-) Sorry you missed the ice, but very little can beat that light!ReplyDelete
Hope your week is just wonderful!
It was a pretty awesome day! The sun was amazing, and the sky, I could have looked at it all day. I am okay with missing the break up of the ice, this was so much better :)Delete
All your snow has gone! Hurray. The light on the water is dazzling, what a lovely place to spend a morning :)ReplyDelete
Pretty much, still a bit here and there, but we can see grass, and that is amazing!!!!Delete
Wow, that's a big lake!! Blue sky, mud boots, bare trees--must be April. Enjoy the sun!ReplyDelete
Yes, April, and we will enjoy it :)Delete
That would be Lake Ontario, one of the great lakes.
Wow that’s a huge lake. Looks like you are getting nicer weather than us.ReplyDelete
We have had a string of really lovely days, and we are enjoying them, a lot!Delete
Sounds like a wonderful and beautiful day to me!ReplyDelete
Stunning and lovely photos!!! and that is one big lake, wow!ReplyDelete

Wow that looks beautiful! All that sunshine and the light sparkling off the water - true Nature Cure! Have a lovely weekend, I hope the sun stays with you xxxReplyDelete
It was just wonderful Em, and we all enjoyed it so much. Wishing you a lovely weekend too my friend. xoDelete
that sounds like a perfect morning!ReplyDelete
It was. Although it might have been a little more perfect if we could have shared it with you :)Delete
Oh Kim, what a glorious day! And the sun shining on the water is truly incredible! How I wish we had been there with you too!ReplyDelete
Our day today was glorious as well (though no sunshine on the water for us). It was lovely to be out without coats or hats and even more exciting to find some crocus! xo
One day Shel, you and your girls will visit, and we will take you to this spot.Delete
We found crocuses yesterday too, a wonderful sign of spring.
It's a cliche I know but "oh what a beautiful morning!" What a beautiful spot and such a treat to have the time to enjoy it :-)ReplyDelete
Haha, yes, that is just perfect! We sat without a care in the world and lost track of time, it was wonderful!Delete
love how the sun is shimmering across the lake, so beautiful. Have a great weekend :)ReplyDelete
Thanks Karen, you too!Delete

It was a really lovely day, and as always, so nice to see our children together, enjoying time in nature :)Delete
I love taking the kids down to the water - no matter what time of year. It just has a wonderful positive effect on them.ReplyDelete
Looks like you had a great day - can picture the chatting on a log...there always seems to be that perfect driftwood log to sit on eh?
Same here, and it always has a positive effect on me too :)Delete
You are so right, always the perfect log to sit on. Thank you Mother Nature.
