"A photo of my little man, once a week, every week, in 2015"

Reece, a moment from one of our daily nature walks. We finally had the sun shining on us, and it felt so good. We stopped a few times as we walked, turned our faces toward the sun, and soaked it up. I felt so connected to you, standing there, appreciating the sun, and her warmth, giggling as we held hands. These moments are so special for me little man, and I hold them close to my heart.

    1. That itch is being scratched here my friend. Little man and I will be heading south soon, to find the sun and some warmer temperatures. Our annual retreat south comes at the perfect time :)

Luckily we had some sun today, and enjoy a wonderful hike in the woods with some friends, and soaked up the sun. It was wonderful!

  3. I'm interested in how the sun changes from season to season.
Right now, here, we're hiding from it. It's too strong and hot and even the morning sun has a bite to it. But l know in Winter we'll be seeking out its gentle warmth just like you and Recce.
So glad to be doing this project together this year. xx

    1. It is not often I hide from the sun, I love the sun, even in the heat of summer. I would think though with the temperatures you are reaching over there I just might be looking for some shade, we don't often have that kind of heat here.

It is lovely to see you participating this year, I am loving your photos my friend. xo

  5. Always such sweet images! I am enjoying the project so far- this week felt great as I got some of my favorite pictures this far, I must get them printed. Also- how are you enjoying blogging less often? Has it been refreshing a welcome reprieve? Do you miss it? Anyway, hope you had a beautifully quiet weekend, and a great week ahead!

    1. Thanks! It is a fun project, glad you are enjoying it.

I am enjoying it. Refreshing, yes. And creating space in my days for other things, which is wonderful. I wouldn't say I miss it, per say, I am still blogging three days a week, but it is definitely a different flow. It is strange, but I find it harder to know what to write about with less blogging. When I was showing up here every day, I could pull from little moments in our day, but now when I sit down there is just so much I have no idea where to start...if that makes sense. It has been an interesting transition.

We had a lovely weekend, thanks, hope you did too. Have a wonderful week.

  7. A beautiful winter day. Just look at that sunlight. Most winter days are grey here. Those special blue sky days are all the more special because of it.

    1. We have had some very grey days here over the last few weeks, and it has been tough. But the last week has been full of sunshine and we are soaking it up. The sky seems so very blue on days like this one.

  8. We are surrounded my sunshine for more than 300 days a year! So when we get cloudy days it feels so exciting. But then after 3 days of clouds we all start to get grumpy. Funny how that works.

    1. The greyness is tough, and I can imagine with sunshine always on your doorstep it is an unusual feeling to enjoy the grey. This winter has been unusually grey for us, and we feel very blessed to have been able to enjoy so much sunshine this week. It all changes this evening though, snow and lots of it in the forecast for tomorrow. Can't wait!

  9. As much as I'm a Summer person, there is something about rosy cheeks in Winter that is always very special.
