1/52

"A photo of my little man, once a week, every week, in 2015"

Reece, a quick photo as you happily skipped to the car this morning. There was a sweetness about the way you were skipping along, one of your stuffed animals in your arms, talking to yourself about something. I quickly grabbed my camera to capture you, and goodness I am glad I did, because what I see here captures the essence of you.

Shortly after this photo you reached another milestone on your journey...you lost your first tooth.

  3. aw, congrats on the first tooth. mine lost 2 last year, but nothing for months.
i was thinking that i take pics of her plenty enough, but thinking about it, 2-3 weeks can go by without one. i might make a pact with myself to tak one a week, probably won't blog it, but what matters is the pic right?!

    1. Thanks Monica. The one beside it is pretty much ready to come out as well, so I think the tooth fairy will be visiting more than once this week :)

You bet, I find though, that by participating I am motivated to get at least a couple of pictures each week for the post. Makes me get the camera out, and capture a few moments I might otherwise not.

    1. It was a really sweet moment Chrisy, one I am holding close to my heart right now.

I know, it seems in the last few weeks he has really started to change, going from little boy to big boy, it that makes sense. Trying to hold on to each precious moment.

    1. Thanks Dre. He was a little freaked out about it at first, but it didn't take long for him to get use to the idea of the tooth fairy :)

  14. Great portrait Kim, that blue really suits him.
Is that a splattering of snow I see in the background?

    1. Thanks Emma. Yes, blue is his colour :) And that is snow, we had a little bit yesterday, but today rain, rain and more rain :( We are waiting, not so patiently for snow...we might have to head north one weekend in order to find some.

  15. Happy First Lost Tooth! We cannot wait to hear what the tooth fairy leaves for Reece (and to see a picture of him sans tooth)! For me, the first lost tooth for each of my girls was a bittersweet milestone. So excited for them and yet it a little sad for me too as it was a definite sign that my babies really weren't babies anymore! xo

    1. Thanks Shel. Post coming tomorrow with our tooth fairy fun :) I am not sure there will be a picture in the post tomorrow though, he is a little shy about sharing it right now, especially because he lost a second one today!!!! He told me maybe once he is out of the bath, we will see.

Yes, a little bittersweet, but in the same breath so exciting to see him growing. There have been quite a few changes in him the last few weeks and Justin and I have been sitting back, smiling, as we watch it all unfold. xo
