Little Hands and Flowers

There is nothing quite as lovely as a vase of beautiful flowers that were cut and arranged by little hands.

  1. we just bought more dianthus because ours was choked out by lemon balm and a very harsh winter. So hopefully in a new place it will thrive! Lovely flowers :)

    1. That is too bad, but glad to hear you got some new ones to plant. I love these little flowers, a bright punch of pink among the green of the garden right now. Thank you :)

  2. How lovely... He is so gentle with them too.
And is there such a thing as too many Mason jars? I swear, they are good for everything!

    1. He is. It was his first time cutting with scissors. He loved it and had so much fun! And no, one can never have too many mason jars in my book :)

    1. They certainly are, and yes, in our yard. Little man loves heading out in the morning to see what new flowers are in bloom.

  4. Definitely agree! Our house has an endless supply of flowers picked for me over the Spring and Summer, sometimes just dandelions or garlic flowers, and often with very short stems, but all lovely! Venetia picked me the first hydrangeas of the season yesterday too and they're just beautiful, mainly green but just turning pink in places. I might even have to go and take a photo now, after reading your post...

    1. Ha, ours does too. There is a little spot beside the kitchen sink and there are often two, three or four vases, teacups, etc with flowers in them, usually with very short stems. We have been working on pulling or cutting from the base so we get longer stems, he is getting the hang of it :)

How lovely, I love hydrangeas. Yes, grab a photo, I would love to see them :)

  6. Lovely! We've been trying to get our Dianthus going for a while now. It just does not want to spread. If you ever want day lilies however ;) I think flowers make up for the oppressive heat of summer. If it were not for the gardens I could live in winter all year round. Be well.

  7. So pretty! Isn't it so much fun to watch him find such treasures in his own yard? (J&A have discovered the strawberries ripening & go out every day, ever so carefully, to see if there are any more. So much fun...) xo

  8. Thanks! And yes, it is. Reece discovered the strawberries yesterday. They were so red and ripe you couldn't miss them. We patiently wait now for the next ones to ripen :) xo
