  1. How wonderful... I love your passage on finding your parenting groove. Always a changing path. Tricky, but so rewarding. What I'm grateful for today? Coffee! LOL! Little Man has a cold which means VERY short nights. But mostly, I'm grateful for 24 hours of pounding rain. The Earth seems to be breathing out a sigh of relief and it simply feels wonderful.

Wishing you a wonderful week-end dear friend. xo Happy father's Day to your great husband.

  3. I am grateful for children that stop by just to say Hi, or call me to see how I'm doing.
I'm thankful it's Friday, which is my easiest day of the week, the day I relax just a little.
    Love the wishing flower photo!
    Have a beautiful weekend Kim.

  6. What a lovely list! Today I am grateful that today is finn's last day of school and that we have a whole summer of exploring ahead!
It's funny because I was not aware of the 6/7 transition that you mentioned, but now, looking back, I can see how Finn changed over that time. However, for Finn, that change was really what he needed to open up and become more confident.

  7. Parenting grooves are challenging for me right now, biggest lessons in patience I've ever had this past month as our 4 year is going through the 'not listening' phase. I started spending more one-on-one time with her away from her sister and it's going much better, as well as re-wording requests and giving her choices. (and when its really rough mama goes to the other room to breathe for a minute!)

I'm incredibly thankful for rain today!! The cool season veg couldn't handle the heat another day longer.
I'm grateful for making bread with my 4 year old at 6:30 am.
I'm grateful for a mama eve out tonight (the 3 times I go out in the evening a year!). I'm going to the theatre to see the Chicago play that a friend is in.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Sorry about your parenting groove right now Isis. My only advice is what you are doing...breathe. And know that is does pass.

Rain, we had some this week too. Enjoy your evening out, Chicago is amazing! I saw it on Broadway years ago.

      Happy weekend to you too!

  8. Good humor while our family deals with summer colds, wind to put variation in our always sunny cloudless days, our dream of homeownership almost being complete.

  9. Very sweet, my friend.
Hmm. In this moment I am thankful to be able to sit down for a moment with my kids playing quietly and the sound of the birds out the window.

  10. I'm grateful for coffee in the early mornings, alone. For family, and daisies, and walks with the dog. Asparagus and coleslaw and all sorts of summery foods.

    1. What a great list Karen. We have been picking daisies on our walks, love them. And asparagus, yum!!! We will be sad to see that season end.

  11. Lovely list. Right at the moment, I'm grateful for sunshine and outdoor time, for swimming in the sea and, just possibly, tonight swimming properly in the river for the first time this year - we're hopeful it's finally low enough for us, fingers are crossed!
