Celebrating Reece

Yesterday we celebrated my little man. Yes, his birthday was a few weeks ago, but with an impending birth I was on call for we decided to wait until the baby arrived to celebrate.

As always, we kept the celebration simple, filled with the things we love and the people we love. We meet my parents and Reece's god parents at a conservation area, not far from our home, for a very cold, wintery hike. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and Jack Frost was nipping our noses. We walked, talked and laughed, then headed back to our home for a late lunch.

There were a few presents to be opened, some memories shared and time spent just hanging out, celebrating our little man.

A lovely day, and the perfect way to celebrate Reece.

    1. I am a doula, but this birth was actually my last one for a while, taking some time off to focus on being a mom :)

      Thank you :)

  11. Well I just emailed you and asked about the coolness and I can see here that you do in fact have some chilly days already. I love these photos of your boy looking so happy outdoors with those he loves and really take inspiration from the way you celebrate. We are still trying to figure out how to navigate birthdays in the future to keep them simple and this is good inspiration to add to the mix.

    1. It is fun, this was the first snowfall to stay on the ground, so it made it pretty special for Reece. He had no problem waiting, we did after all have a little celebration on his birthday just the three of us. He was pretty happy to know there was another one coming :)
