  1. A little version of your gorgeous hammock photo looked like a flying carpet for a moment! Like the look of your wool teepee crafting too.

    1. Haha, I can see that. Reece would love it if it was a flying carpet :) We had fun with those, a little tricky at first for little hands, but they soon got the hang of the weaving.

  2. Oh what bliss : Early morning lounge. Those little tee-pees look like so much fun. I may have to steal that idea and have my hubby make one for Little Miss.

Looks like you had another beautiful day... Hope the rest of your week is just as magical. xo

    1. Yes, he has been enjoying the hammock since we got it out of storage on the weekend. The teepees were tons of fun and look pretty cool too! Feel free to steal the idea :)

Thank you, hope yours is too!

  3. I am curious about the teepee making in the second photo, can you share more?
Emerson will be staying with me for a week near the end of June and I need ideas to keep
    a five year old busy.

    1. Sure can Tracey, with pleasure. I had Justin make the teepees, he used 7 twigs, and then drilled holes into a base of wood. The twigs were glued into the holes and then held together at the top with an elastic band. I had the kids weave yarn in and out, leaving an opening for the door, until they couldn't weave anymore, than we just wrapped the yarn around the outside to finish the top. I played a little bit with mine, the colourful one in the middle, and instead of weaving wrapped the yarn around each twig once and then moved onto the next one, again leaving an opening for the door.

We made them to fit the little peg people, which they do :) I would suggest using a thicker yarn. You can see the difference between the two the kiddos did.

Hope that helps, if you have questions let me know. Have fun!

I bet she would love God's eyes too, and how about some embroidery. I draw things on burlap for Reece, flowers, stars, birds, etc and then set him up with thread and needle and he has a great time. And Reece loves hand stitching. All good stuff for little hands.

    2. Thanks so much Kim, all this helps. Emerson love to craft and is on all the time, which makes it a little hard for me since it's been awhile since I had a little one.

  7. You have a lovely hammock. They are so comfy, but we don't have room for one. The tee-pees are darling. When the peg people are done with them I bet they would look great on the nature table..Such lovely apple blossoms. Wonderful peeks, Be well.

  8. How fun are those teepees! Did your husband make the wooden frames? I am curious to know what time the sun rises and sets at your house. It seems so very sunny still at 6:45pm. :)

    1. They were a ton of fun KC. And yes Justin made them. Sunrise today was 5:36am and the sunset tonight will be at 8:46pm. The sun was actually just starting to dip behind the trees, I was facing it, so you are getting that in the background. But in reality at two hours before it goes down, it is still very light out at 6:45pm. We love our long summer days, and the light we get to enjoy well into the evening.

  12. I love the idea of posting morning, noon and night pics. We have such busy days, it's nice to pause and think about all that happens. May I ask, what are those tp looking yarn projects that you've made? Is it a form of knitting or just for fun? Do the pegs come out? My daughters and I are making farie houses and I think I'd use this idea for them.
