Feeling Full

A solstice day hike up our quiet road

Beauty is all around...you just have to open your eyes

This little soul fills me with so much joy!

Our solstice fire

Candles lite from the solstice fire to light the way into our home for dinner

A little hike to feed the birds...we had to share some gifts with them

A Chistmas Eve hike...notice the difference in snow between the previous picture and this one.
This picture is not far from our home, the other, closer to the lake and a little south, no snow there.

Christmas Eve by the tree

Merry Christmas!

A little Christmas snuggle

There's a fullness resting in my heart today.

A fullness which stays with me as I go about these days.

Days past have been filled with:
nature walks
connection
friends
gratitude
sharing
family
peace
joy
laughter
fun
playing
memory making
magic
and
love.

This fullness finds me slowing down,
letting it sink deep,
reminding me that this moment,
right now,
here,
is most important.

I hold this reminder close.

I will let the fullness rest a while longer.
I will feel it deep inside,
then release a breath
and smile.

  3. How perfectly lovely and magical :) We received a huge dump of snow here (Ottawa Valley) and are in the middle of another one - fortuitious really considering we kitted out our kiddies with brand new showshoes and luges for Christmas. There is nothing better than a white Christmas!

    1. It was just that Carrie :) We got a little dump before Christmas and another one here today, same system I think. We are thoroughly enjoying it.

  4. I enjoyed this post and of course the photos! i think it's so easy to get caught up with "life" and the busyness of the holidays, your photos are centered and reflect the peace we should all hold in our hearts:)

  6. Just gorgeous, Kim! The days look simply magical! We had wanted to have a fire outside on Solstice but sadly the weather prevented that from happening.
