These simple, yet very meaningful words, were the ones appearing on a blank piece of paper on New Year's Eve as I sat in the quiet hush of our home, candles glowing in the darkness and a mug of hot tea near by. I was using this as a tool to pick my guiding word for 2013.

Picking one word seemed a little bit daunting. How could I possibly assign just one word to guide my journey for the next 365 days. What I realized as I moved through this exercise was this one word wasn't too hard to find. Those words above are all linked in one way or another and together lead me to this word:

SOW: to scatter (seed) over land, earth, etc., for growth

I am taking this to another level. In my hopes of creating community, sharing skills, giving back, guiding and supporting others. In my days of living in gratitude, with the ones I love and experiencing life in its fullest, I am looking at sow as a scattering of seeds to bring people together. I want to tend, nurture and nourish these seeds...sowing and growing a community; a community which works together for the benefit of each other.

After a year of connection, working to tend, nurture and sow these connections not only makes sense but feels so right...so. very. right.

  3. Beautiful! You should consider writing an inspirational book for mama's after this year of connecting is over. Especially since you've started that nature group! I so look forward to reading what you discover this coming year.
