Yarn Along

All the Christmas knitting is done!!!! I finished up my hubby's hat this weekend and stuffed the knitted horse for my niece. Both projects turned out perfectly.

My needles didn't rest for long though, I cast on another pair of fingerless mitts, this time taking Tracey's advice and using a smaller needle and voila, they fit!!! I am working on mitt number two, and hopefully will have it cast off by the time you read this.

Doula reading is slowing down, I am finding with the holiday season approaching studying is taking a little bit of a back seat, and that is okay with me. The little break will be good and I will be ready to get back at it after the holidays.

I started this book on the weekend and I love it. It reinforces the choices I have made on my mothering path and also gives me so much more to think about. And my issue of Taproot arrived on Monday, so you can be sure I will be diving into that this week at some point.

What are you knitting and reading?

Joining in with Ginny and Nicole.

  19. I love the horse! I am still working on my handmade christmas gifts, although I have finished three hats, so feeling good about that. Two were even with wool that I spun, so that took extra time...:) I am going to be working on jars of peppermint bark and some handmade grain bag bags, as well as potholders.....hmmm, a lot to finish. The weekend will be busy! Enjoy your day and your mitts!
