Yarn Along

More peg people hats were knitted up this week. I have to paint up some more peg people, add the hats and then that is it for peg people...for now.

A friend is enjoying the bliss of a new baby and I am hoping to visit soon and meet her new bundle of joy for the first time. A little knitted ball will provide lots of fun in the months to come.

And one of my fingerless gloves is done. It is a little big for my tiny hands, so not sure if I will keep them or not. I will get the other one done first and then decide. I will knit the kid size next time I knit them up, which might be soon.

Not too much reading this week...a little doula reading, a little John Holt and a little The Mother. All good and inspiring.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

Joining in with Ginny and Nicole.

  4. The glove came out nice Kim. If you aren't happy with the fit I'm sure you can find someone who would love them. Maybe next time you can change the needle size so you can knit a pair for you?
My daughter has tiny hands too and often complains ;)

    1. Thanks Tracey, I am pleased with it, just wish I had listened to my gut and knit the smaller size. I may try it with smaller needles, we'll see.

  5. That ball is adorable. Might have to make one for over here! Could you block the gloves to make them smaller? I did that with Sofia's hat and it fits her much better now.

  12. I'm loving those mitts! I'm hardly knitting or reading much these days as Iz is keeping me quite busy, but I do have about half the triangles made for the ball I'm stitching up for her. Small steps! If I don't comment again before then, have a lovely weekend! :)

    1. Thanks Sara. I know your hands are busy right now, honestly though, enjoy it. This time won't come again and there will be lots of time for knitting and reading later.

  15. I'm tempted to make that ball for my kids, I'll have to add it to my "things I want to make list" I have so much wip at the moment I still need to finish off, but get so easily distracted with new projects :)
