Celebrating Reece
This was Reece's big birthday surprise...play stands and play clips, made with love by his dad. I also added a few new play silks to his collection. He was surprised and so happy to see it. He got right to work creating, playing and enjoying his birthday gift.
Later in the day my parents, Reece's Godparents and my niece, who was staying with my parents for the weekend, joined us for a lovely afternoon hike and then a late lunch back at our home.
We tend to keep celebrations simple in our home, enjoying the things we love with the people we love. Being in nature, sharing a meal and enjoying good company was the perfect way to celebrate my little man.
Reece will be four tomorrow. The three of us will spend the day together, not totally sure what we will do, but it really doesn't matter, just being together, enjoying time together and celebrating our little man is enough . We can't wait!

I hope you have the best day. I think spending time with a four year old is the greatest!
Thank you Tracey. I too love the play stands and clips, I didn't see them until they were done. So very happy with how they turned out.
DeleteWhat a lovely, simple celebration with family. The playstand is beautiful. Happy birthday to Reece - and to his parents.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Reece! And happy birthing day to you mama!
ReplyDeleteWe prefer the low key, simple celebrations as well. Time together, good food...best way to celebrate ever :)
Thanks Amanda. Low key is the best, at least for us.
DeleteAmazing! What a wood worker you have! I feel like if we had one of those play spaces I would only have toys in there and that's it. Then there would be nothing else around the house really simple. I'm glad your celebration went so well! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks KC. I definitely lucked out, Justin is very talented in the wood working department. That is not a play space, that is Reece's bedroom, he just doesn't have a bed :) At least not yet...it is arriving on Wednesday.
