Yarn Along

Knitting this week has been of the tiny kind, lots of little hats for wooden peg people. It has been fun, and I love how my little wooden peg people are turning out.

I also knitted up another bowl, and managed to get it and the bowl from last week felted. I love how they turned out.

I will be knitting up more little hats this week, as well as a special little gift for our St. Nicholas celebration coming up on December 6. I am also looking for something else to start, I think the fingerless gloves will be it, just need to get some yarn.

More doula reading this week as well as a bit of John Holt's How Children Learn.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

Joining in with Ginny and Nicole.

P.S. If you haven't already entered my lovely little giveaway for some wooden buttons, head over now and enter. You have til Friday.

    1. Very nice bowls! My Mom made some a few years ago and the felting-hoping process waiting to see if what you were working on turned out close to what you imaged was fun. I like you peg people hats.

  14. Those little peg people are so much fun. I finally knit the random hat I was working on and finished it this past weekend so I don't currently have anything on the needles. I am on the lookout for some knit ball patterns to make some soft toys for Izzy, so I might start actively looking for patterns her soon.

    1. Thanks Sara. The St. Nicholas gift I am working on for Reece is actually a few knitted chickens and a rooster. Justin is going to make a little wooden fence for it too. We are pretty excited about it, hopefully Reece is too :)

  15. I LOVE those bowls!!
I am not a knitter (although I do appreciate the talented works of knitters like yourself!); right now I am reading a non-fiction novel Two Kisses for Maddy by Matthew Longelin - sad but truly dispalys the generosity of spirit of so many people!

  23. I have two links for you, a Canadian retailer https://stockade.ca/ and a US retailer http://www.caseyswood.com/. I found two hat patterns http://www.saartjeknits.nl/patterns/Korknisse.html and http://annabranford.com/ideas/how-to-knit-a-gnome-hat I used the second link and played around with it a bit. Enjoy making them, it is a ton of fun!
