Our Weekend

The weekend started on Friday morning with friends, exploring and playing in the woods. A game of hide and seek found Reece and I hiding under a cedar tree in the snow for far too long. We talked about the cedar tree, he ate snow and we waited patiently to be found. Once found a fire was made and we gathered together to enjoy laughter, conversation and snacks. Then a little visit with a client and her little one before heading home. Homemade pizza for dinner and then a little late night knitting once the little man was tucked in for the night.

Saturday started off a little lazy, hanging out in our pjs and enjoying a late breakfast before heading our for a walk in the woods. A visit to the hair dresser and then dinner out thanks to a gift certificate we received at Christmas (thanks mom and dad). And to finish out the evening a little reading and knitting.

Sunday saw an early wake up from a certain little man, he was full of energy and ready to go. We enjoyed breakfast and headed outside to soak up the fresh winter air. Home for lunch and then I was off to my 8 Gifts From Nature course. Time sharing with friends, learning more about myself, growing and changing, being inspired and gaining more insight into the path we are traveling make our gatherings every month for this course something I look forward to and am so very grateful for.

The weekend finished with a little reading, hot tea and more knitting.

How was your weekend?

  3. Sounds lovely to me. It was too, too bitter cold here to be outside, even bundled up, the wind was cruel. Am looking forward to warming and feeling the sun on our cheeks again.

We had a lot of sickness in the house this weekend and today even with the cold, I threw open the windows for ten minutes to clean out the air.

Even so, we had the pleasure of Scrabble games and apricot bars and a short visit with friends.

    1. We too are looking forward to the sun on our cheeks again and the warmth it brings. Scrabble, it has been a while since I have played that, so much fun. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

  5. Just stumbled upon your blog through green tea n toast and having a good nosy around! I've just started reading about compassionate thinking and mindfulness and am interested in how I'm going to utilise it all with how I raise my daughter. Think your blog will be a good place to start :)
